Event Overview

Before Jan 1, 2027 If physical work on the East Potomac Golf Links course in Washington, D.C. resumes after Issuance and before Jan 1, 2027, then the market resolves to Yes. Only reporting from any of the Source Agencies qualifies for the purposes of this market. Reports that merely reference prior publications (from before Issuance) do not qualify. Republishing of content originally produced by other sources (e.g., wire services) only qualifies if the content is hosted on the outlet's official platform and the outlet is clearly identified as the publishing entity. Only work at East Potomac Golf Links counts: the existing course grounds, its miniature golf course and clubhouse, and any other land in East Potomac Park where the work is done to build the redesigned course. Seawall repair and other work elsewhere in the park or in Washington, D.C. is outside this market. Qualifying work is physical: cutting down or removing trees, excavating or regrading ground, demolishing course or clubhouse structures, or building or installing new course features or buildings. It does not matter how the work is characterised by the government or its contractors, including as maintenance, hazard-tree management or redevelopment. The following do NOT satisfy the Payout Criterion: Closing the course to play, or erecting fencing or signs, without other physical work Surveying, mapping, environmental review, permitting or planning that does not disturb ground Moving or staging equipment without physical work starting Mowing, pruning and other routine upkeep that does not remove trees or disturb ground Hauling away or processing trees felled before Issuance Testing, removing or remediating the East Wing demolition fill already dumped at the course, or other cleanup of ground disturbed before Issuance An announcement, plan or court ruling that work will or may resume on a future date This market will close and expire early if the event occurs.
