Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Accounts: Signing in through an available identity provider supplies your verified email address, profile name and image. We store these with an account identifier and role. PredictPedia does not ask you to create a separate password.
• Account features: Signed-in watchlists, monitored price targets, notification records, comments and votes are stored on our servers. Comments and the associated display name and profile image can be public.
• Guest storage: Guest watchlists, local price references and preferences are stored in your browser. Importing a guest watchlist into an account sends those items to our servers and removes the guest copy after successful import.
• Feedback: Educational-content feedback records positive and negative counts for a topic.
• Usage and technical data: Analytics and hosting services process page requests and technical information such as browser details, referrers and network information to measure usage and operate the service.

2. Cookies and browser storage

Sign-in uses cookies to maintain and protect your session. Browser storage also retains preferences and guest features. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions; its default cookies can persist beyond a single visit. Vercel Web Analytics uses a separate cookie-free measurement method. These are different services, so the site cannot be described as entirely cookie-free. [1][2]

You can clear stored data or block cookies through your browser. Doing so can remove guest watchlists or prevent sign-in from working. Clearing this browser does not delete data already saved to your account.

3. How we use information

We use account information to authenticate users, sync saved items, check explicitly enabled price targets and show account notifications. Submitted comments and votes support discussions. Usage and technical data help us understand traffic, diagnose failures and protect the service.

Price notifications appear in the account inbox. Enabling a target does not subscribe you to email, SMS or browser push messages.

4. Service providers and external links

• Hosting and storage: Vercel hosts the application, and Neon PostgreSQL stores account and application records.
• Sign-in: Available Google or GitHub sign-in providers process authentication under their own policies.
• Analytics: Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics receive usage data. Google's cookie-based measurement is not limited to aggregate statistics at the point of collection. [1][2]
• Market and content services: We request market data, topic references and news from external services. Anthropic supplies Claude for generated analysis and educational content. These requests include the relevant market or topic information.

Opening a trading venue, publisher, reference or social sharing link takes you to another service. That service's privacy policy applies to your use of it.

5. Storage and security

The site uses HTTPS and checks account identity before accessing account records. Account information and saved features persist in server storage across browser sessions. Notifications can remain after their target is removed; the inbox displays the newest 100 notifications. There is no automatic account-deletion or fixed account-retention period implemented in the site interface.

6. Children's privacy

PredictPedia is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information through the service.

7. Your controls and requests

You can remove watchlist items and price targets through the site, sign out, and clear local preferences in your browser. Account records and browser storage are separate: signing out or clearing local storage does not erase server records.

For access, correction or deletion requests concerning account information, use our Contact page. Describe the request without posting passwords, sign-in tokens or other sensitive information in a public issue. We may need to verify your identity before acting on an account request.

8. Policy changes

We will publish updates on this page and change the revision date when our data practices change.
