Event Overview

Before 2027 If the taking effect of any sanction, restriction or tariff under the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026 after President Trump's October 16, 2026 waiver and before January 1, 2027 is confirmed by any of the Source Agencies after Issuance and before Jan 1, 2027, then the market resolves to Yes. This must be confirmed, verified, or established as factual by at least one Source Agency. News confirmation is defined as a published article, broadcast segment, or official news report by a Source Agency, that A) explicitly states the taking effect of any sanction, restriction or tariff under the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026 after President Trump's October 16, 2026 waiver and before January 1, 2027 occurred, is true, or has been verified, B) based on journalistic investigation, sources, or evidence, and C) presented as factual reporting rather than speculation, rumor, or unverified allegation. Taking effect means a sanction, restriction or duty required by the Act is legally in force and being applied because a waiver covering it was revoked, narrowed or ended. Any one measure against any country, person or good qualifies. Announcements, certifications, or a start date on or after January 1, 2027 do not qualify. Measures under other authorities, including Executive Orders in force before the Act and general licenses, do not count. A later re-waiver does not undo an earlier qualifying period. This market will close and expire early if the event occurs.
