About This Event
In the upcoming match between Heart of Midlothian FC and Falkirk FC, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET: This market will resolve to "Heart of Midlothian FC" if Heart of Midlothian FC are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. This market will resolve to "Falkirk FC" if Falkirk FC are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, this market will resolve "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to the outcome within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

What the contract measures
This event covers the scheduled match between Heart of Midlothian FC and Falkirk FC, which the source lists for November 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET [1]. The three Polymarket contracts in the snapshot ask which team scores first, or whether neither does, within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded [1].
The wording differs slightly across the three contracts. Two ask whether one team will score first. The third asks whether neither team will score first, and it resolves "Neither" if no goal is scored in that window or if the game is canceled with no make-up game [1]. If the game is postponed, the market stays open until the match is completed [1].
The source also sets fallback data rules. The official statistics are primary, then Flashscore, then Sofascore, then a consensus of credible reporting. If no acceptable data exists within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, the market resolves 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable [1].
Reading the snapshot
The saved snapshot was observed at 2026-10-26T12:00:06.088Z and retrieved at 2026-10-26T12:06:57.131Z [1]. These are provider and retrieval times for this record only. They do not show the current price, and the contracts' listed end time of 2026-11-08T15:00:00.000Z is a field in the provider data, not a confirmed outcome [1].
The "Heart of Midlothian FC to score first" Yes contract was priced at 0.485, and the "Falkirk FC to score first" Yes contract was also priced at 0.485. The "Neither team to score first" Yes contract was priced at 0.48 [1]. These are snapshot prices, not executable quotes, and they are not verified probabilities. Because the three contracts ask different questions, their prices should be read separately. Their prices should not be combined or averaged into one figure.
The sample covers all three saved markets for this provider event, with no partial sample flag [1]. The source notes that this does not establish that the provider lists every possible real-world outcome [1]. Volume and trader activity are not included in this summary, so they cannot indicate liquidity or how many people hold each view.
What remains uncertain
This record does not explain why any price is where it is, and it does not show any news, team information, or trading activity beyond the snapshot. Prices may have changed since retrieval. Readers should check the live market and its rules before relying on any figure.

Saved Oct 26, 2026 UTCOverview
This market concerns the first team to score in a scheduled Scottish football match between Heart of Midlothian FC (Hearts) and Falkirk FC. The provider lists the match for November 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET, with a listed contract end time of 15:00 UTC on that date [1]. The contract settles on which side scores first within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time [1]. Whether the match is played as scheduled is a separate question that the contract rules address but that this article does not confirm. The saved event contains three markets. One asks whether Hearts will score first, one asks whether Falkirk will score first, and one asks whether neither team will score first [1]. The three markets are presented as the complete set saved for this event, which is a narrower claim than saying they cover every possible outcome.
Historical Context
Hearts is a professional football club in Edinburgh, Scotland, and competes in the Scottish Premiership, the top division of Scottish football [2]. The club was formed in 1874 and is described as the oldest football club in the Scottish capital. Its name was influenced by Walter Scott's novel The Heart of Midlothian (1818), and its crest is based on the Heart of Midlothian mosaic on the city's Royal Mile [2]. The team's colours are maroon and white, and its local rivals are Hibernian, with whom it contests the Edinburgh derby [2]. The club has been majority supporter-owned through Foundation of Hearts since 2021 [2]. According to a Wikipedia article on the club's 2026-27 season, the season is the 146th season of competitive football by Hearts, and the club is competing in the Scottish Premiership for the sixth consecutive season after being promoted at the end of the 2020-21 season [3]. These are historical background points from encyclopedia pages retrieved on the snapshot date. They do not confirm the current league position, team news or any other present-day development.
Why It Matters
The contract measures timing rather than the final result. It asks which team, if either, records the first goal in the window defined by the rules [1]. Because the window covers the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, goals scored in extra time or in a penalty shoot-out do not count toward the outcome [1]. A market like this therefore reflects a narrow question about the opening phase of a match, and a reader should not treat it as a forecast of who will win the match. The prices shown on the platform are snapshots of trading at one observation time, not executable quotes or verified probabilities. The rules also define how resolution works if the official data is delayed, which affects when and how a market can settle [1].
Snapshot context
The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-26 at 12:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update. [1]
