About This Event

In the upcoming match between AS Roma and US Sassuolo Calcio, scheduled for November 7, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET: This market will resolve to "AS Roma" if AS Roma are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "US Sassuolo Calcio" if US Sassuolo Calcio are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Serie A (https://www.legaseriea.it/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

This analysis is awaiting a background update, so its prices may be older than the odds above.

What the contract measures

The three contracts come from one Polymarket event, AS Roma vs. US Sassuolo Calcio. Each asks about the second half only. One market resolves to "AS Roma" if AS Roma are the first to score in the second half. Another resolves to "US Sassuolo Calcio" on the same condition for that team. A third resolves to "Neither" if neither team scores in the second half [1]. Second-half stoppage time counts, while first-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded [1].

The primary resolution source is official Serie A match information. Flashscore, Sofascore, or consensus reporting are used only under stated fallback conditions [1]. A postponed game keeps the market open until it is completed. If the game is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "Neither" [1].

The listed end time is 2026-11-07T19:45:00.000Z. The source describes the fixture as scheduled for November 7, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET [1]. This is a listed close time. It does not show that the match has been played or that any outcome has occurred.

Reading the snapshot

The provider observation time is 2026-10-30T21:00:05.889Z. The source was retrieved at 2026-10-31T02:21:07.456Z [1]. Both are past times, so these figures describe a historical snapshot and should not be read as current prices. Each Yes and No outcome in the saved data is priced at 0.5 [1]. These are snapshot prices, not executable quotes, and they are not verified probabilities.

The three contracts ask different questions. The "Neither" contract covers a different result than the two team contracts. Their Yes prices should not be averaged or merged into a single ranking, and matching prices do not show that the contracts are interchangeable.

What remains uncertain

The coverage record lists three total markets, all three included, with partialSample set to false [1]. The sample warning states that all saved markets for these events are included, but this does not establish that the provider lists every possible real-world outcome [1]. The evidence does not explain why the prices sit at 0.5, and it contains no information on trading activity or team news. Prices may have changed after the snapshot, so anyone comparing these contracts should check current listings and the full rules before relying on them.

Overview

This contract is part of a Polymarket event titled "AS Roma vs. US Sassuolo Calcio - 2nd Half First Team to Score" [1]. It asks which side, if either, will score first in the second half of the scheduled Serie A match between AS Roma and US Sassuolo Calcio. The rules describe the fixture as scheduled for November 7, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET, with a listed end time of 2026-11-07T19:45:00.000Z [1]. That date comes from the contract text and describes the planned match, not a confirmed result or a report that the match has taken place. The event contains three related contracts. One resolves to "AS Roma" if Roma are the first to score in the second half. A second resolves to "US Sassuolo Calcio" if Sassuolo score first in that period. A third resolves to "Neither" if neither team scores in the second half [1]. The second half includes regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded [1]. Each contract is a separate market, so reading one contract's price against another's does not by itself identify a pricing error or an opportunity. The rules define the match outcome carefully. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate spellings, sponsor names and minor formatting differences do not affect resolution, as long as the intended team can be clearly identified as a participant in the fixture [1]. If a team name has no reasonable connection to a participant, or could refer to more than one participant, the market resolves as it would if the fixture were canceled entirely [1]. The primary resolution source is official match information from Serie A [1]. If official final statistics are not published within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, Flashscore data may be used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore data may be used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used [1]. Revisions to final scores declared after resolution are not counted [1].

Why It Matters

The contract measures a narrow question: which team, if either, scores first in the second half of the scheduled match. It does not cover the full match result, the first half, extra time or penalty shoot-outs [1]. Because it is limited to one half, it can resolve to "Neither" if no second-half goal occurs [1]. The rules also specify what happens in unusual cases. A postponed game keeps the market open until the match is completed. A game canceled entirely with no make-up match resolves to "Neither" [1]. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, the market resolves 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable [1].

Snapshot context

The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-30 at 21:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update.
