About This Event
This market will resolve according to the party of the candidate who wins the OH-06 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The midterm elections will take place on November 3, 2026. A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).

Overview
PredictPedia lists a Polymarket event titled OH-06 House Election Winner. The event concerns the seat for Ohio's 6th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections [1]. The midterm elections are scheduled to take place on November 3, 2026 [1]. The contract's rules say it resolves according to the party of the candidate who wins that seat [1]. A candidate's party is determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation at the time all 2026 House elections are conclusively called by the market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to the Democratic or Republican parties is assigned to a party based on the party with which they most recently expressed intent to caucus at that same point [1]. Resolution is based on the result as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, the rules say the market resolves solely on official results reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission [1]. The event contains two markets on the same seat. One asks whether the Republican Party will win the OH-06 House seat, and the other asks whether the Democratic Party will win it. Each market has Yes and No outcomes [1]. The two contracts are therefore linked by the same underlying result, but each is priced separately. A difference in their prices does not by itself indicate an arbitrage opportunity. At the time of the observation recorded here, the provider reported the event as active. The rules list an end time of November 4, 2026 at 04:59 UTC [1]. That is a contract closing time stated in the rules. It is not an announced date for when results will be known, and it should not be read as a confirmed election-night timeline.
Why It Matters
The contract measures which party wins one specific U.S. House seat in the 2026 midterm elections, using the party rules described in the contract [1]. Because it tracks a single district, it offers a narrow view of one race rather than a national outcome. Its prices are market snapshots from the observed time. They reflect trading activity at that moment and are not executable quotes or verified probabilities that a given party will win.
Snapshot context
The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-15 at 16:13 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update. [1]
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the OH-06 contract measure?
It measures the party of the candidate who wins the OH-06 U.S. House seat in the 2026 midterm elections, with the party determined under the contract's stated rules [1].
When are the midterm elections that the contract refers to?
The contract states that the midterm elections will take place on November 3, 2026 [1].
How is a candidate's party decided if they have no ballot-listed party?
The rules say such a candidate is assigned to a party based on the party with which they most recently expressed intent to caucus, measured when the House elections are conclusively called by the resolution sources [1].
What happens if the reporting is unclear?

Does the listed end time mean results will be known then?
No. The rules list an end time of November 4, 2026 at 04:59 UTC, but this is a contract closing time in the rules and is not described as the date results will be known [1].
Are the two markets in this event the same contract?
They are separate markets within one event, one for the Republican Party and one for the Democratic Party, each with Yes and No outcomes [1]. Their prices are separate snapshots, and a price difference alone does not imply an arbitrage opportunity.
