About This Event

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Upper bracket semifinal 2 match between BIG Academy and WRAITH PCIFIC in the European Pro League Regular Playoffs, initially scheduled for May 18 at 6:30AM ET. This market will resolve to "BIG Academy" if BIG Academy win the match against WRAITH PCIFIC. This market will resolve to "WRAITH PCIFIC" if WRAITH PCIFIC win the match against BIG Academy. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

What the contract measures

The saved Polymarket event covers a Counter-Strike match between BIG Academy and WRAITH PCIFIC (BO3) in the European Pro League Regular Playoffs. The event description says the market refers to the "Upper bracket semifinal 2 match" and that the match was "initially scheduled for May 18 at 6:30AM ET" [1]. The three saved markets are not winner contracts. Each asks whether the total kills on a single map will be odd or even: "Map 1: Odd/Even Total Kills?", "Map 2: Odd/Even Total Kills?", and "Map 3: Odd/Even Total Kills?" [1].

The rules differ from a match-winner market. Cancellation, ties, and forfeits resolve 50-50 for the match contract, and the source named is hltv.org, with a consensus of credible reporting allowed if final results are not published within 2 hours [1]. The listed end time for these markets is 2026-05-26T03:59:00Z [1].

Reading the snapshot

The observation time is 2026-10-23T03:00:06Z, and the material was retrieved at 2026-10-23T03:30:52Z [1]. These are the times of the data capture, not the times of the match or the contract close. The listed end time falls months before the observation, so the provider's "active" status should be read as the status recorded in this snapshot, not as evidence that trading is open today.

Each of the three maps shows Odd at 0.5 and Even at 0.5 [1]. Because the two outcomes are complementary and both are priced at 0.5 in this snapshot, the data shows an even split. These are snapshot prices, not executable quotes, and they are not verified probabilities. The supplied evidence does not include volume, order book depth, or trade history, so it says nothing about liquidity or how many participants hold each side.

The coverage record lists 3 of 3 markets included with no partial sample [1]. The saved event contains only these three markets. The provider does not establish that every possible outcome on the event is listed, so the sample should not be read as a complete field for the match.

What remains uncertain

The evidence does not show whether these markets settled, what the match result was, or whether a fallback resolution applied. It also does not show whether the listed end time was reached under any particular status. Because the snapshot is dated well after the listed end time, a reader should check the current provider record before using it for any decision.

The match-winner outcome is not in the supplied data, so this snapshot cannot be compared with the winner contract. Likewise, no cross-platform comparison is possible from this evidence. Any price difference between contracts with different wording or close times would not, by itself, indicate an opportunity.

Overview

This Polymarket contract concerns a Counter-Strike match between BIG Academy and WRAITH PCIFIC, described as the Upper bracket semifinal 2 match in the European Pro League Regular Playoffs [1]. The event page states that the match was initially scheduled for May 18 at 6:30AM ET [1]. That scheduled date is a historical detail from the contract text, not an announced event for the present. The provider's saved record shows the event as active, with a listed end time of 2026-05-26T03:59:00.000Z [1]. A listed end time is a contract rule, not a report that the match was played or that the market settled. The event contains three linked markets, one for each of Map 1, Map 2 and Map 3. Each asks whether the total kills on that map will be odd or even, with two outcomes named Odd and Even [1]. In the saved snapshot, each outcome is priced at 0.5. These are snapshot values taken at a specific observation time. They are not executable quotes, and they are not verified probabilities of any result. Trading volume, where shown, reflects activity in the market and does not indicate liquidity or the number of participants. The contract's resolution rules set out several paths. A market resolves to the team that wins the match [1]. If the match is canceled, ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner, the market resolves 50-50 [1]. A forfeit, disqualification or walkover before the match starts also resolves 50-50, while a walkover or disqualification after the match begins can resolve to the team that wins [1]. The official resolution source is hltv.org. If that site has not published final results within 2 hours after the event concludes, a consensus of credible reporting may be used, including video evidence [1]. The rules also allow team names to be matched to the real-world team despite sponsor tags, academy designations, abbreviations or spelling differences, provided the intended team can be clearly identified within the competition. If a name could refer to more than one team in the same competition, the market resolves 50-50 [1].

Why It Matters

The contract measures the outcome of a single Counter-Strike match and the total kills on each of its first three maps, as represented by the provider's market records [1]. For the match-level contract, the stated resolution is the winner. For the map-level contracts, the saved records show only the odd and even outcomes and their snapshot prices. The contract text specifies the resolution sources and the 50-50 conditions, so a reader can see how the market would be settled under different scenarios [1]. The listed end time of 2026-05-26T03:59:00.000Z is the provider's end-date field, and it does not confirm a completed result.

Snapshot context

The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-23 at 03:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update.
