Overview
PredictPedia tracks a Polymarket event titled "Pro Football: 2026-27 Passing Yards Leader." The event rules state that the market resolves in favor of the player who finishes the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the most passing yards [1]. Each market in the event asks whether one named quarterback will be that leader, with a Yes outcome and a No outcome. The rules set an order for ties. If players are tied on passing yards, the tie goes to the player with more completed passes during the 2026-27 regular season. If a tie still persists, the higher yards per passing attempt decides it. If a tie remains after that, the market resolves to "Other" [1]. The rules also cover disruption. If the season ends early, is shortened, or is truncated for any reason, the outcome is determined using available NFL statistics for completed games. If the regular season is cancelled, is postponed after January 26, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or leaves it unclear which player led the NFL in passing yards in that timeframe, the market resolves to "Other" [1]. That January 26, 2026 date is a condition in the contract rules. It is not an announced event date, and the supplied evidence does not show that any postponement occurred. The provider lists an end time of January 27, 2026 at 04:59 UTC, which is earlier than the observation time recorded for this snapshot. The evidence does not explain that difference, and the provider status at observation is recorded as active [1]. The listed end time should be read as provider metadata, not as a confirmed closing or resolution event.
Why It Matters
The contract measures a single season outcome: which player finishes the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the most passing yards [1]. Its value depends on the stated tie-breakers and the fallback rules, which determine whether a result is decided by yards, completed passes, yards per attempt, or resolves to "Other" [1]. The resolution source is official NFL information, with a consensus of credible reporting allowed as a supplement [1]. The sample in this snapshot is partial. The saved event has 24 markets, and 12 are included. Those 12 were selected by highest finite Yes price, then by volume [1]. Because of that selection rule, the included markets are not the full field, and the omitted players should not be read as having lower prices. Among the included markets, Yes prices range from 0.0435 to 0.27 at the observation time. These are snapshot prices, not executable quotes, and this article does not treat them as verified probabilities.
Snapshot context
The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-17 at 06:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update. [1]
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if two players are tied for the most passing yards?
The tie is first decided by the player with more completed passes during the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If the tie still persists, the higher yards per passing attempt decides it. If a tie remains after that, the market resolves to "Other" [1].
What happens if the 2026-27 season is cancelled, postponed, or shortened?
If the season concludes early, is shortened, or is truncated, the outcome is determined using available NFL statistics for completed games. If the regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear who led the NFL in passing yards in that timeframe, the market resolves to "Other" [1].
Does the sample include every player in the event?
No. The saved event contains 24 markets, and this snapshot includes 12 of them. The included markets were selected by highest finite Yes price, then by volume, so the sample is not the full field [1].
