About This Event
This market will resolve to "Up" if the Close price for Airbnb, Inc. (ABNB) on October 28, 2026 is higher than the Close price for Airbnb, Inc. (ABNB) on the most recent prior trading day. This market will resolve to "Down" if the Close price for Airbnb, Inc. (ABNB) on October 28, 2026 is lower than the Close price for Airbnb, Inc. (ABNB) on the most recent prior trading day. E.g., ordinarily, a market on Monday would refer to the previous Friday for its most recent closing price, unless that Friday were a market holiday, in which case it would refer to Thursday, or the next most recent trading day. If the two specified closing prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve 50-50. Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. If Airbnb, Inc. (ABNB) does not trade at all during the regular session, the market will resolve 50-50. For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If either of the relevant days has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which the listed security trades will be used to determine the closing price for that day. Only prices achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange on which the listed security trades (typically 9:30 AM โ 4:00 PM ET) will be considered. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed security during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth. The resolution source for this market will be Pyth, specifically the "Close" values for the relevant 1-minute candle available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.ABNB%2FUSD. Historical 1-minute candles may be accessed by appending a Unix timestamp (seconds) to the Pyth chart URL using the "t=" parameter. Any timestamp within the listed market time frame may be used to view the relevant candle data (e.g., https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.ABNB%2FUSD?t=1773432000).

What the contract measures
This is a single binary contract on Polymarket asking whether Airbnb, Inc. (ABNB) will resolve "Up" or "Down" on October 28, 2026. It resolves to "Up" if the Close price on October 28, 2026 is higher than the Close price on the most recent prior trading day, and to "Down" if it is lower [1]. The rules also state that if the two closing prices are exactly equal, or if ABNB does not trade at all during the regular session, the market resolves 50-50 [1].
The rules specify the price source. Closing prices come from Pyth, using the "Close" value of the 1-minute candle for the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, typically 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET [1]. The listed end time is 2026-10-28T20:00:00.000Z [1]. That timestamp is when the market is scheduled to close for trading, not a separate announced event.
Reading the snapshot
The saved snapshot was observed at 2026-10-27T21:00:06.613Z and retrieved at 2026-10-27T23:18:17.271Z [1]. It shows "Up" at 0.505 and "Down" at 0.495 [1]. These are prices from a single saved observation, so they describe that moment only. They are not executable quotes, and they are not verified probabilities. The gap between the two prices is 0.010, which is small on this snapshot.
The sample covers one market from one provider event. Coverage lists one total market, one included market, and no partial sample [1]. The provider's sample warning confirms that all saved markets for this event are included, but that does not establish that the provider lists every possible outcome [1]. Since this is a single binary contract, no omitted outcome affects the comparison.
Trading volume is not included in this snapshot, so this record does not show liquidity or how many traders hold each side.
What remains uncertain
The snapshot does not show what the prices will be at close, and it does not explain why they stand where they do. Nothing in the evidence describes the reasons for price changes or any news affecting ABNB. The rules also cover edge cases, including splits and missing Pyth data, which could change how the market settles [1]. Readers comparing this contract with a similar market on another platform should check that the closing-price definition, data source, and listed close time match before comparing prices.

Saved Oct 27, 2026 UTCOverview
This contract asks whether Airbnb, Inc. (ABNB) will close higher on October 28, 2026 than on the most recent prior trading day. The market resolves to "Up" if the October 28 close is higher than the prior trading day's close, and to "Down" if it is lower [1]. The listed end time is 2026-10-28T20:00:00.000Z [1]. The rules use the most recent prior trading day as the comparison point. For example, a Monday market would normally refer to the previous Friday's close, unless that Friday was a market holiday, in which case the reference would move to the next most recent trading day [1]. Because the rules are tied to trading days rather than calendar days, the comparison date is not always the day before the contract date. Closing prices are taken from Pyth, and the rules specify that they are used exactly as published, without rounding [1]. For a standard full session, the close is the Pyth "Close" value of the one-minute candle for the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange [1]. The rules describe regular trading hours as typically 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET and say that only prices from that window count [1]. Several fallback rules apply. If either relevant day lacks a valid Pyth close for that final minute, the market uses the last valid Pyth price during regular trading hours as the effective close. If no valid Pyth price exists because of an outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange is used instead [1]. If the two closing prices are exactly equal, the market resolves 50-50. The same outcome applies if the stock does not trade at all during the regular session [1]. For stock splits or similar corporate actions during the time frame, the market resolves on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth [1]. The resolution source is the Pyth "Close" value for the relevant one-minute candle on the Pyth data page for ABNB [1]. The rules are the governing reference for how the contract settles, so readers should consult them directly rather than relying on this summary for edge cases. In the saved snapshot, the platform listed the Up outcome at 0.505 and the Down outcome at 0.495 [1]. These figures were observed at 2026-10-27T21:00:06.613Z and are not a live or executable quote. Because the two prices are close to each other, the snapshot shows little difference in the market's assessment between the two outcomes at that observation time, but a price snapshot does not establish the likelihood of either outcome.
Historical Context
Airbnb, Inc. is described in the supplied background as an American company operating an online marketplace for short-and-long-term homestays, experiences and services in various countries and regions. It acts as a broker and charges a commission from each booking. The company was founded in 2008 by Brian Chesky, Nathan Blecharczyk, and Joe Gebbia [2]. The background does not cover the company's stock performance or any events affecting the share price around the contract dates.
Why It Matters
The contract measures the direction of Airbnb's share price over one trading session, comparing the October 28, 2026 regular-session close with the close on the most recent prior trading day [1]. It does not measure the company's overall value, quarterly results, or performance over a longer period. Its settlement depends on exact Pyth closing values and on the tie and fallback rules described above [1]. The background about the company describes its business model as a marketplace that earns a commission on bookings [2], but nothing in the supplied background links that business description to the contract's price outcome.
