About This Event

This market will resolve in favor of the team that finishes the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the most sacks. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the tied team with more quarterback hits during the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the team with more forced fumbles during the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to “Other”. If the 2026-27 NFL season concludes early, is shortened, or is truncated for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available NFL statistics for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which team led the NFL in sacks within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

What the contract measures

The Polymarket event "Pro Football: 2026-27 Sacks Leader (Team)" asks which team will finish the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the most sacks. Each team has its own Yes or No contract. The rules state that the market "will resolve in favor of the team that finishes the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the most sacks" [1]. A tie goes to the team with more quarterback hits, then more forced fumbles, and if a tie still persists the market resolves to "Other" [1]. The rules also say the market resolves to "Other" if the regular season is cancelled, is postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or if it is unclear which team led the NFL in sacks [1]. The resolution source is official NFL information, though "a consensus of credible reporting may also be used" [1]. The listed end time is 2027-01-27T04:59:00.000Z [1]. That is a closing time in the contract, not an announced event date.

Reading the snapshot

The provider observation time is 2026-10-20T00:00:06.267Z, and the source was retrieved at 2026-10-20T02:40:10.403Z [1]. These prices describe that observation only. They are not live quotes, and they are not verified probabilities.

The saved sample covers 12 of 32 markets in this event [1]. The sample was ordered by finite Yes price, highest first, so it is a selection by price, not the full field. Within the sample, the Minnesota Vikings Yes contract is listed at 0.2385, the Denver Broncos at 0.116, the Arizona Cardinals at 0.106, and the New Orleans Saints at 0.0845 [1]. The remaining 20 markets are not shown, so this evidence says nothing about their prices. Do not treat the shown prices as a complete ranking of the field.

Each contract is a separate question about a different team, so the prices should not be averaged or combined. Trading volume is also not included in this evidence, so it cannot be read as liquidity or as a count of participants.

What remains uncertain

The evidence does not explain why any price is where it is. It also does not indicate how many traders hold each view. Because the season has not finished according to this record, the outcomes are unresolved, and the tie-break and "Other" conditions could apply depending on how the season unfolds. The sample is partial, so the broader field is unknown from this snapshot.

Overview

This PredictPedia contract is a team-level market on the 2026-27 NFL regular season. It asks which team will finish the regular season with the most sacks. Each listed team has its own Yes or No contract, so the market is a set of separate binary contracts within one provider event [1]. The contract rules say a team's Yes contract resolves in its favor if that team finishes the 2026-27 regular season with the most sacks [1]. The rules also set a tie-breaking order. If two or more teams are tied on sacks, the market goes to the tied team with more quarterback hits during the regular season. If that remains tied, it goes to the team with more forced fumbles. If the tie still persists, the market resolves to "Other" [1]. The rules cover disruptions as well. If the season concludes early, is shortened, or is truncated for any reason, the outcome is determined using available NFL statistics for completed games. If the regular season is cancelled, is postponed after January 26, 2027 at 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which team led the NFL in sacks within that timeframe, the market resolves to "Other" [1]. The stated resolution source is official information from the NFL, although a consensus of credible reporting may also be used [1]. The provider lists an end time of 2027-01-27T04:59:00.000Z for this event [1]. That is a listed end time in the contract record, not an announced date for any game or event. For the season itself, the Wikipedia article on the 2026 NFL season states that the regular season will end on January 10, 2027 [3]. The article is a background reference and does not verify the current status of any game.

Historical Context

The 2026 NFL season is the 107th season of the National Football League, according to the Wikipedia article on the season [3]. The regular season began on September 9, 2026, when reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle defeated New England in the NFL Kickoff Game [3]. The same article states that the playoffs are scheduled to begin on January 16, 2027, with Super Bowl LXI set for February 14 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California [3]. These are historical and scheduled facts from that reference. They do not establish how the sacks race stands at any point after the snapshot described below.

Why It Matters

The contract measures a single season-long team statistic: total sacks recorded during the 2026-27 NFL regular season [1]. Because the contract resolves on a full regular season, its price reflects expectations about that season rather than a single game. The tie-breakers and the "Other" outcome mean the resolution depends on the rule set as well as the headline statistic, so the exact wording of the contract matters for interpreting any outcome [1]. The market sample available here is partial. For the saved provider event, 12 of 32 team markets are included, and the included set was selected by highest finite Yes price, then by volume [1]. In the snapshot observed on 2026-10-20 at 00:00:06 UTC, the Minnesota Vikings Yes contract was priced at 0.2385, the highest price among the included teams. The Denver Broncos at 0.116, the Arizona Cardinals at 0.106, and the New Orleans Saints at 0.0845 were among the other included contracts [1]. Prices are snapshots from that observation, not executable quotes or verified probabilities. The omitted 20 team markets are not shown, so the sample should not be read as the complete field or as a ranking of every team.

Snapshot context

The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-20 at 00:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update. Frequently Asked Questions

How is a tie for the most sacks decided?

The contract uses quarterback hits during the 2026-27 regular season as the first tie-breaker, then forced fumbles if the tie persists. If the tie still persists after both, the market resolves to "Other" [1].

What happens if the season is cancelled or cut short?

If the regular season is shortened or truncated for any reason, the outcome is determined using available NFL statistics for completed games. If the regular season is cancelled, is postponed after January 26, 2027 at 11:59 PM ET, or the leader in sacks cannot be clearly identified in that timeframe, the market resolves to "Other" [1].

What source is used to resolve the market?

The stated resolution source is official information from the NFL. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used [1].

Does the price shown mean a team has a given chance of winning?

The prices are snapshots from a provider observation and are not executable quotes or verified probabilities. The included sample is also partial, with 12 of 32 team markets shown for this event, so the prices should not be read as a full ranking of teams [1].
