What the contract measures
Each market in this event asks whether a named player will finish the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the most rushing yards [1]. The rules name official NFL information as the resolution source, and state that "a consensus of credible reporting may also be used" [1]. If players are tied, the market favors the tied player with more rushing touchdowns, then the higher yards per carry average. If a tie still persists, the market resolves to "Other" [1].
Other conditions can change the outcome. If the season is shortened or truncated, the result uses available NFL statistics for completed games [1]. If the regular season is cancelled, is postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear who led the league, the market resolves to "Other" [1]. Each listed market has an end time of 2027-01-27T04:59:00.000Z [1]. This is the provider's listed close time. It does not state when the season ends or when results will be confirmed.
Reading the snapshot
The provider observed these prices at 2026-10-16T00:00:06.034Z, and the record was retrieved at 2026-10-16T02:53:26.866Z [1]. These are snapshot values, not live or executable quotes, and they are not verified probabilities. The highest Yes prices in the sample are Bijan Robinson at 0.289, Jahmyr Gibbs at 0.165, and James Cook at 0.15 [1]. The lowest is Josh Jacobs at 0.0175 [1].
All 11 saved markets for this event are included, and the sample is not marked partial [1]. The Yes prices in this sample add to about 1.00. The sample warning also states that including every saved market does not establish that the providers list every possible real-world outcome [1]. No "Other" price appears in the supplied data, so a reader should not infer one.
The excerpt does not include volume, so it cannot show liquidity or how many traders are involved. Ordering reflects only the Yes price in this snapshot.
What remains uncertain
The evidence does not explain why any price is at its level, and it contains no later snapshots, so it cannot show whether these figures have changed. It reports no season results. Comparing these prices with contracts on other platforms would require matching the wording, tie rules, cancellation terms, and close times, and this excerpt provides none of those for other platforms.

Overview
The Polymarket event Pro Football: 2026-27 Rushing Yards Leader asks which player will finish the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the most rushing yards [1]. Its rules resolve the event in favor of that player. The league's own rushing-title concept is similar: the player who recorded the most rushing yards for a season is considered the winner of that season's rushing title [3]. The rules include a tie-break sequence. If players are tied on rushing yards, the tied player with more rushing touchdowns during the regular season is the winner. If still tied, the player with the higher yards per carry average wins. If a tie remains after that, the market resolves to "Other" [1]. The rules also address disruption. If the season concludes early, is shortened, or is truncated for any reason, the outcome is determined from available NFL statistics for completed games. If the regular season is cancelled, is postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which player led the NFL in rushing yards in that timeframe, the market resolves to "Other" [1]. The resolution source is official information from the NFL, although a consensus of credible reporting may also be used [1]. The listed end time in the rules is 2027-01-27 at 04:59 UTC. That is a date written into the contract rules. It is not an announced event date, and it does not indicate when the season ends or when the market will be settled. This saved event contains eleven individual yes or no contracts, one for each named running back. All saved markets for this event are included in this record, so no part of the saved event is omitted. The event is active according to the provider's status field [1]. The prices attached to each contract are snapshot values from the observation time. They are not executable quotes, and they are not verified probabilities of any outcome. Trading volume, where it appears, does not measure liquidity or the number of participants.
Historical Context
The NFL recognizes the player with the most rushing yards for a season as the rushing champion. League record books also recognize rushing champions of the American Football League, which operated from 1960 to 1969 before being absorbed into the NFL in 1970. The NFL also recognizes statistics from the All-America Football Conference, which operated from 1946 to 1949 before three of its teams merged into the NFL [3]. A separate Wikipedia list covers career rushing yards and includes the 32 running backs who have rushed for at least 10,000 career yards, sixteen of whom have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame [2]. That career list concerns career totals and does not define the single-season contract.
Why It Matters
The contract measures a single number: the rushing yards each player accumulates across the 2026-27 NFL regular season [1]. Because the rules define the winner by that season total, with specific tie-breakers and void conditions, the contract is settled by the official season statistics rather than by any later reporting [1]. Its value to a reader is in understanding how the rules define the outcome, including what happens if the season is shortened, cancelled, or left unresolved.
