About This Event
This market will resolve according to the result of the season series between the New England Patriots and New York Jets during the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If the New England Patriots win the season series, this market will resolve to “Patriots”. If the New York Jets win the season series, this market will resolve to “Jets”. If the New England Patriots and New York Jets tie the season series, this market will resolve to “tie”. If any scheduled game between the listed teams during the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, not completed, or otherwise does not produce an official result — including due to a shortened, truncated, or early-ended season — the season series will be determined solely using official results of completed games. If the season is cancelled, no games between the teams are completed, or the result of the season series cannot otherwise be confirmed by January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market will be information from the NFL, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.

What the contract measures
The supplied Polymarket event asks about the 2026-27 NFL regular-season series between the New England Patriots and New York Jets. The event rules say the market "will resolve according to the result of the season series," with "Patriots" if the Patriots win, "Jets" if the Jets win, and "tie" if the series is tied [1]. The three contracts in the snapshot are separate yes/no markets: one on a tie, one on a Patriots series win, and one on a Jets series win [1].
The rules also set a fallback. If a scheduled game is cancelled or does not produce an official result, the series is decided only by completed games. If the series cannot be confirmed by January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market resolves 50-50 [1]. The listed end time is 2027-01-27T04:59:00.000Z [1]. That timestamp is a listed close time, not an announced event date, and the rules name the NFL as the primary resolution source with credible reporting as a secondary check [1].
Reading the snapshot
The provider observed these prices at 2026-10-16T03:00:06Z, and the application retrieved the saved record at 2026-10-16T05:05:51Z [1]. These are historical snapshot values, not live quotes. The recorded Yes prices were 0.505 for a tie, 0.465 for a Patriots series win, and 0.244 for a Jets series win [1]. Each Yes price is a single saved value for its own contract, and the No prices are the complements shown in the record [1].
The three Yes prices should not be added or averaged into a combined forecast, because each is a separate contract with its own wording. The sum of the Yes prices exceeds 1, and that does not by itself identify a trading opportunity. The snapshot does not show executable bid or ask prices, depth, or trader counts.
The saved sample includes all three markets for this event, and the coverage record marks it as not partial [1]. The record still does not establish that the provider lists every possible outcome for the real-world matchup [1].
What remains uncertain
The evidence does not explain why any price was at its recorded level. It contains no news, no reasons for movement, and no comparison with other platforms. The only source is one Polymarket event record, so cross-platform comparison is not possible from this material. The evidence also does not show how many people hold each position or how much liquidity sits behind the prices.

Overview
This PredictPedia contract is a Polymarket event titled "Pro Football: Patriots vs. Jets Season Series Winner." It is tied to the season series between the New England Patriots and New York Jets during the 2026-27 NFL regular season [1]. The contract has three related markets: whether the series ends in a tie, whether the Patriots win it, and whether the Jets win it [1]. The rules say the market resolves to "Patriots" if the Patriots win the season series, to "Jets" if the Jets win it, and to "tie" if the two teams split it evenly [1]. If a scheduled game between the teams is cancelled, not completed, or otherwise produces no official result, the series is decided only on completed games. This includes a shortened or early-ended season [1]. If the season is cancelled, no games between the teams are completed, or the series result cannot be confirmed by January 26, 2027 at 11:59 PM ET, the market resolves 50-50 [1]. The primary resolution source is information from the NFL, and a consensus of credible reporting will also be used where needed [1]. The listed end time for the event is 2027-01-27 at 04:59 UTC, which is a listed closing time in the contract data and not a date on which any game or announcement is scheduled [1]. At the observation time of 2026-10-16 03:00 UTC, the saved prices were 0.505 for a tie, 0.465 for a Patriots series win, and 0.244 for a Jets series win [1]. These are snapshot prices from a data provider, not executable quotes or verified probabilities. Each market's Yes and No prices sum to one, but the three Yes prices together do not, so they should not be read as a single normalized distribution of outcomes. The saved sample includes all three markets in this event, so no markets from this event were omitted [1].
Why It Matters
The contract measures the outcome of a single head-to-head comparison: the season series between two NFL teams during the 2026-27 regular season [1]. Because the outcome depends on official game results, the rules specify how cancelled or incomplete games are treated and set a confirmation deadline of January 26, 2027 at 11:59 PM ET [1]. Its practical value for a reader is in understanding those resolution conditions, which determine what counts as a win, a tie, or a 50-50 settlement [1].
Snapshot context
The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-16 at 03:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update. [1]
