Their academy keeps producing first-team talent, and the club rarely sells its best players mid-season unless offers are absurd.

The 2025 season ended with Palmeiras in second place behind Botafogo, but Botafogo lost key players to European clubs over the winter window. Palmeiras kept manager Abel Ferreira, who is now the longest-tenured coach in the division. Stability matters in a league where 10 of 20 clubs changed managers last season.

If left-back Piquerez or midfielder Raphael Veiga leaves, the odds should compress.

Another risk is the Copa Libertadores schedule. Palmeiras will likely advance deep into that tournament, and the Thursday-Sunday fixture congestion in October and November has derailed past favorites.
