About This Event

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the number of receiving touchdowns Chris Godwin records during the 2026-27 NFL regular season equals or exceeds the listed number. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If Chris Godwin does not play in the 2026-27 NFL regular season for any reason, this market will resolve to "No". If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened, truncated, or ends early for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available official data for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined how many receiving touchdowns Chris Godwin recorded within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "50-50". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

This analysis is awaiting a background update, so its prices may be older than the odds above.

What the contract measures

The source describes a set of contracts on the number of receiving touchdowns Chris Godwin records in the 2026-27 NFL regular season. Each contract asks whether his count "equals or exceeds the listed number" [1]. The five thresholds in this snapshot are 0.5, 2.5, 4.5, 6.5, and 8.5 or more. The source says that if Godwin does not play "for any reason," the contract resolves to "No" [1]. If the season is cancelled, or "it cannot be determined" how many touchdowns he recorded, the contract resolves to "50-50" [1]. The source names NFL official information as the resolution source, but adds that "a consensus of credible reporting may also be used" [1].

The listed end time is 2027-01-27T04:59:00.000Z [1]. This is a listed close time from the contract data, not a confirmed date for any event.

Reading the snapshot

The provider observed these prices at 2026-10-18T03:00:06.384Z, and the record was retrieved at 2026-10-18T03:25:00.103Z [1]. These are point-in-time values, not live quotes, and they are not executable prices.

The quoted Yes prices are: 0.5 or more at 0.935, 2.5 or more at 0.58, 4.5 or more at 0.275, 6.5 or more at 0.22, and 8.5 or more at 0.45 [1]. The 8.5 threshold is priced above the 6.5 threshold. That ordering is not what a simple reading of higher thresholds would suggest, so the reader should check the wording and close times before comparing these contracts directly. The data does not explain this pattern.

All five markets come from one provider event, and the coverage record shows all five included with no partial sample [1]. The contracts are compared only within this event. No outcomes from other events or platforms are combined here. The volume and trader counts are not in the supplied evidence, so the prices cannot be read as liquidity or agreement among participants.

What remains uncertain

The snapshot does not show whether these prices will change, why they are at these levels, or what has happened with Godwin's roster status. The source does not include news, injury information, or depth-chart details, so none can be assumed. The provider notes that the sample does not "establish that the providers list every possible real-world outcome" [1]. Since this is a threshold ladder, no other count outcomes are shown here, and no conclusion should be drawn about omitted counts.

Overview

This contract asks how many receiving touchdowns Chris Godwin will record in the 2026-27 NFL regular season. The listed thresholds in the sample are 0.5, 2.5, 4.5, 6.5 and 8.5. Each threshold is a separate yes or no contract. A contract resolves "Yes" if Godwin's regular-season receiving touchdown total equals or meets the listed number, and "No" otherwise [1]. The threshold markets are grouped under one provider event, so they describe the same underlying count at different levels rather than separate outcomes of one question [1]. The rules also cover situations where the count is not a simple tally. If Godwin does not play in the 2026-27 regular season for any reason, the contract resolves "No" [1]. If the season is shortened, truncated or ends early, the result is set using available official data for completed games [1]. If the season is cancelled, is postponed after January 26, 2027 at 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined how many receiving touchdowns Godwin recorded in that window, the contract resolves "50-50" [1]. The provider lists a closing time of 2027-01-27 at 04:59 UTC [1]. That is the end time recorded in the contract, not an announced date for any football event. The contract's resolution source is official information from the NFL, although a consensus of credible reporting may also be used [1]. Prices shown for these thresholds are snapshots at a point in time. They are not executable quotes or verified probabilities, and a higher or lower price on one threshold says nothing about whether another threshold is more or less likely to be met.

Historical Context

The encyclopedia entry says Godwin played college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions and was selected by the Buccaneers in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft [2]. It also states that he won a Super Bowl championship with the Buccaneers in their victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV [2]. This is background from a reference entry and does not establish his current team status or current season statistics.

Why It Matters

The contract measures a single player's receiving touchdowns across one regular season, using official NFL information as the main resolution source [1]. Because each threshold is a separate yes or no question, a trader or reader can see how the market treats different levels of production for the same player and season [1]. The rules matter as much as the number: a missed season, a shortened schedule or an undeterminable count each produce a different settlement [1].

Snapshot context

The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-18 at 03:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update.
