About This Event

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the number of receiving yards Ladd McConkey records during the 2026-27 NFL regular season equals or exceeds the listed number. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If Ladd McConkey does not play in the 2026-27 NFL regular season for any reason, this market will resolve to "No". If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened, truncated, or ends early for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available official data for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined how many receiving yards Ladd McConkey recorded within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "50-50". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

This analysis is awaiting a background update, so its prices may be older than the odds above.

What the contract measures

The provider event is "Pro Football: Ladd McConkey 2026-27 Regular Season Receiving Yards" [1]. Each contract asks whether the receiving yards Ladd McConkey records in the 2026-27 NFL regular season "equals or exceeds the listed number" [1]. Each threshold is a separate binary contract, so the five markets are not alternative outcomes of one question.

The rules set two special cases. If McConkey does not play in the regular season for any reason, the market resolves to "No" [1]. If the season is cancelled, is postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or the yardage cannot be determined, the market resolves to "50-50" [1]. Resolution uses official NFL information, though a consensus of credible reporting may also be used [1].

Reading the snapshot

The prices were observed at 2026-10-16T06:00:05.833Z and retrieved at 06:16:40.882Z [1]. They describe that moment only. They are not executable quotes or verified probabilities. Sorted by threshold, the Yes prices are:

  • 449.5+ yards: Yes 0.825, No 0.175
  • 649.5+ yards: Yes 0.595, No 0.405
  • 849.5+ yards: Yes 0.695, No 0.305
  • 1,049.5+ yards: Yes 0.255, No 0.745
  • 1,249.5+ yards: Yes 0.13, No 0.87

The 849.5+ Yes price is higher than the 649.5+ Yes price. Because each contract asks about "equals or exceeds," a higher threshold should not be easier to reach than a lower one. The evidence does not explain this difference, and a price gap between contracts is not by itself an opportunity. The order in the evidence reflects the provider's selection ranking, not threshold order.

All five saved markets for this event are included, and the sample is not marked partial [1]. The provider's note also says this does not establish that every possible real-world outcome is listed [1]. The evidence includes no volume figures, so it says nothing about liquidity or the number of traders.

The listed end time is 2027-01-27T04:59:00.000Z [1]. This is the contract's listed close, not a confirmed date for any game or for resolution.

What remains uncertain

The evidence does not explain why prices are where they are, and it contains no news, trader counts, or information about past forecasting performance. It records one snapshot, so prices may have changed since 06:00 UTC on 2026-10-16. The evidence also gives no regular-season schedule, so it does not show how much of the season had been played at observation time. Readers should compare the rules above, not the prices alone, before drawing conclusions.

Overview

PredictPedia tracks a set of Polymarket contracts on how many receiving yards Ladd McConkey records in the 2026-27 NFL regular season. Each contract asks whether he will reach a specific yardage threshold. The event is titled "Pro Football: Ladd McConkey 2026-27 Regular Season Receiving Yards" [1]. The listed thresholds in this sample are 449.5, 649.5, 849.5, 1,049.5 and 1,249.5 yards, and each one is a separate yes or no contract [1]. The contracts resolve to "Yes" if McConkey's receiving yards during the 2026-27 NFL regular season equal or exceed the listed number. Otherwise they resolve to "No" [1]. If McConkey does not play in the regular season for any reason, the contract resolves to "No" [1]. If the regular season is shortened, truncated, or ends early, the outcome is determined from available official data for completed games [1]. The contract also sets a 50-50 outcome for certain cases. That applies if the regular season is cancelled, if it is postponed after January 26, 2027 at 11:59 PM ET, or if it cannot be determined how many receiving yards McConkey recorded in that timeframe [1]. The resolution source is official information from the NFL, although a consensus of credible reporting may also be used [1]. The listed end time for the event is 2027-01-27T04:59:00Z [1]. That is a date written into the contract rules, not an announced event date, and the sources here do not report when the 2026-27 season will finish. The sample is drawn from a single saved event. All five markets from that event are included, so the sample is not partial for this event [1]. The sources do not establish that the provider lists every possible yardage threshold.

Historical Context

McConkey's background is documented in a Wikipedia entry retrieved for this article. He played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs, won two national championships and the 2023 Wuerffel Trophy, and was selected by the Chargers in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft [2]. The sources provided do not include his yardage totals for past seasons, so they cannot be used to judge how the yardage thresholds compare with his earlier production. A separate Wikipedia entry on the 2024 NFL season describes that league season, including its start on September 5, 2024 and its regular season conclusion on January 5, 2025 [3]. That entry does not describe McConkey's statistics or the 2026-27 season.

Why It Matters

The contracts measure one number: McConkey's total receiving yards in the 2026-27 NFL regular season [1]. Because each contract uses a different threshold, the set shows how prices change as the required total rises. The market prices shown in this sample are snapshots taken at the observation time, and they are not executable quotes or verified probabilities. The 449.5 yard contract was priced at 0.825 for Yes and the 1,249.5 yard contract at 0.13 for Yes in that snapshot [1]. These figures reflect the saved prices at that time, not the current market. The contract rules also show why the outcome depends on more than performance. Injury, absence, a shortened season, or a cancelled or postponed season all affect resolution under the stated terms [1]. Readers should check the contract rules and the resolution source before interpreting any price.

Snapshot context

The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-16 at 06:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update.
