About This Event
In the upcoming match between Wigan Athletic FC and Bromley FC, scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET: This market will resolve to "Wigan Athletic FC" if Wigan Athletic FC are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. This market will resolve to "Bromley FC" if Bromley FC are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, this market will resolve "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to the outcome within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

What the contract measures
The supplied Polymarket event covers the match between Wigan Athletic FC and Bromley FC, which the source lists as "scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET" [1]. The three saved contracts ask which team scores first, or whether neither does, within a narrow window. Per the rules, the market "will resolve to "Wigan Athletic FC" if Wigan Athletic FC are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time" [1]. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded [1].
The rules also set several edge cases. If the game is postponed, the market "will remain open until the game has been completed," and if it is canceled with no make-up game, it "will resolve to "Neither"" [1]. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market "will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable" [1]. The listed end time for all three contracts is 2026-10-31T15:00:00.000Z [1].
Reading the snapshot
The provider observation time is 2026-10-19T00:00:05.826Z, and the source was retrieved at 2026-10-19T01:09:05.820Z [1]. These are records of past observations, not live quotes. The contracts are shown as active, but this record does not establish current prices.
In the snapshot, each of the three contracts shows Yes at 0.49 and No at 0.51 [1]. These are snapshot prices, not executable quotes or verified probabilities. Because the Wigan and Bromley "first to score" contracts and the "Neither" contract are separate listings, their prices should not be added together or averaged into a single estimate. Differences in listed prices across contracts are not an arbitrage opportunity by themselves, since the rules and settlement conditions must match.
The saved sample includes all three markets for this event, and the coverage record marks it as not partial [1]. The record also cautions that "This does not establish that the providers list every possible real-world outcome" [1].
What remains uncertain
The snapshot does not explain why prices sit at these levels, and it does not show trading activity or the number of participants. It also cannot show how prices have changed since the observation. Whether the match is played as scheduled, postponed, or canceled is not established by the evidence, and the rules describe how each case would be handled rather than what will happen. Readers should check the provider's current listing and the official rules before relying on any figure.
