About This Event
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the number of rushing touchdowns James Cook records during the 2026-27 NFL regular season equals or exceeds the listed number. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If James Cook does not play in the 2026-27 NFL regular season for any reason, this market will resolve to "No". If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened, truncated, or ends early for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available official data for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined how many rushing touchdowns James Cook recorded within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "50-50". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

What the contract measures
This event is a Polymarket set of five markets on how many rushing touchdowns James Cook records in the 2026-27 NFL regular season. Each market resolves to "Yes" if the count "equals or exceeds the listed number," and to "No" otherwise [1]. The thresholds are 6.5, 8.5, 10.5, 12.5, and 14.5. Because each threshold is a separate binary contract, they should be read as a ladder of separate questions, not as one distribution.
The rules include conditions that affect how a "No" can occur. If Cook does not play in the season "for any reason," the market resolves to "No" [1]. If the season is shortened or ends early, the outcome is determined from "available official data for completed games" [1]. If the season is cancelled, or postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market resolves to "50-50" [1]. The listed end time is 2027-01-27T04:59:00Z [1].
Reading the snapshot
The provider observed these prices at 2026-10-16T03:00:06Z, and the source was retrieved at 2026-10-16T05:02:26Z [1]. These are snapshot prices from that observation time, not live quotes or executable prices.
The Yes prices were 0.87 for 6.5+, 0.795 for 10.5+, 0.695 for 8.5+, 0.355 for 12.5+, and 0.15 for 14.5+ [1]. Sorted by threshold, the Yes prices fall as the threshold rises. The sample contains all five saved markets for this event, and the saved selection ordering was by Yes price, so the list order is not a ranking of outcomes. The snapshot does not explain why prices are at these levels, and it does not show how many traders hold each position. Volume is not included in this interpretation.
Because there is only one platform and one event, no cross-platform comparison is possible. Differences between the thresholds reflect different contracts and should not be treated as an arbitrage opportunity.
What remains uncertain
The sample covers all saved markets for this event, but the source does not establish that every real-world outcome is listed. The prices are a single observation and may have changed since 2026-10-16T03:00:06Z. The season has not been played, and the excerpt does not describe any roster, injury, or schedule status for Cook beyond the rule language. Readers should check the full rules and current market data before relying on any price.

Overview
This PredictPedia entry covers a set of Polymarket contracts on how many rushing touchdowns Buffalo Bills running back James Cook will record in the 2026-27 NFL regular season [1][3]. The event contains five threshold contracts, asking whether Cook will reach 6.5, 8.5, 10.5, 12.5 or 14.5 or more rushing touchdowns [1]. A rushing touchdown is a play in which the runner carries the ball into the end zone without a forward pass being involved [2]. Each contract is a yes or no question about one count, so a higher threshold asks for a larger total. The contracts share the same event end time and resolution rules, which are set out below [1]. The contract rules define the outcome in several ways. The market resolves Yes if the number of rushing touchdowns Cook records during the 2026-27 regular season equals or exceeds the listed number, and No otherwise [1]. If Cook does not play in the regular season for any reason, the market resolves No [1]. If the season is shortened, truncated or ends early, the outcome is determined from available official data for completed games [1]. If the season is cancelled, is postponed after January 26, 2027 at 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined how many rushing touchdowns Cook recorded in that period, the market resolves to 50-50 [1]. The listed end time is 2027-01-27T04:59:00Z [1]. This is the contract's listed end time, not an announced date for any game or event. The resolution source is official information from the NFL, although a consensus of credible reporting may also be used [1]. The rules therefore depend on the official season record, with reporting as a secondary basis if needed [1].
Historical Context
Cook's background is documented in his biography entry, which states that he played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs, winning a national championship with them in 2021, and that the Bills selected him in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft [3]. The rushing touchdown definition used in league records is described in a Wikipedia article on annual rushing touchdown leaders [2]. The supplied sources do not provide a season-by-season history of Cook's rushing touchdowns, so this entry does not describe his past totals.
Why It Matters
The contracts measure one player's rushing touchdown total over a single regular season, which makes them narrow questions about a specific individual and a specific season [1]. Because the threshold markets are ordered by the count they ask about, they give a view of how the market frames the range of possible totals for that season [1]. The rules also show that the contract is sensitive to participation, season length and cancellation, as each of those can change how the question is settled [1]. Readers should check the official NFL record and the contract rules together when interpreting any outcome [1].
Snapshot context
The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-16 at 03:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update. [1]
