About This Event
This market will resolve according to the party of the candidate who wins the DE-AL congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The midterm elections will take place on November 3, 2026. A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
This analysis is awaiting a background update, so its prices may be older than the odds above.

What the contract measures
This event, "DE-AL House Election Winner," resolves according to the party of the candidate who wins the DE-AL congressional district seat in the 2026 midterm elections [1]. The source excerpt states that the midterm elections will take place on November 3, 2026 [1]. That date appears in the contract rules, so it describes when the election is scheduled under those rules, not a separate announced event.
A candidate's party is determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation when all 2026 House elections are conclusively called by the resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed Democratic or Republican affiliation is assigned to a party based on the party they most recently expressed intent to caucus with [1]. Resolution follows a consensus of credible reporting, and if that is ambiguous, the official results reported by the Federal Election Commission govern [1].
Reading the snapshot
The saved event contains two binary markets. The Democratic Party contract shows a Yes price of 0.972 and a No price of 0.028. The Republican Party contract shows a Yes price of 0.003 and a No price of 0.997 [1]. These are snapshot prices observed at 16:13 UTC on October 15, 2026, and retrieved at 19:55 UTC the same day [1]. They are not executable quotes, and they are not verified probabilities. The saved data does not show current prices beyond that observation time.
The two Yes prices are for separate contracts and should not be read as a single distribution or averaged together. Their sum is 0.975. The snapshot does not explain that gap.
Both markets list an end time of 2026-11-04T04:59:00Z [1]. That is the listed close time in the saved data, and it falls after the scheduled election date stated in the rules. The rules also say that resolution depends on when the House elections are conclusively called, so the listed close time alone does not indicate when the outcome will be known.
What remains uncertain
The sample includes two of two saved markets for this event, and the coverage record marks it as not a partial sample [1]. The sample warning still states that the saved markets do not establish that the providers list every possible real-world outcome [1]. Missing outcomes should not be assumed to have lower prices.
The excerpt does not include recent news, trading activity, or the number of participants, so no explanation for price levels or movements can be drawn from this evidence. Volume and trader counts are not present in the saved record.
