About This Event
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the number of receiving yards Sam LaPorta records during the 2026-27 NFL regular season equals or exceeds the listed number. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If Sam LaPorta does not play in the 2026-27 NFL regular season for any reason, this market will resolve to "No". If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened, truncated, or ends early for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available official data for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined how many receiving yards Sam LaPorta recorded within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "50-50". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
This analysis is awaiting a background update, so its prices may be older than the odds above.

What the contract measures
The Polymarket event asks whether Sam LaPorta will record a stated number of receiving yards during the 2026-27 NFL regular season [1]. Each listed contract is a separate threshold. The supplied titles cover 224.5+, 424.5+, 624.5+, 824.5+, and 1,024.5+ yards [1]. A "Yes" outcome requires the yardage to equal or exceed the listed number [1].
The rules also set edge cases. If LaPorta does not play in the season for any reason, the market resolves "No" [1]. If the season is shortened or ends early, the outcome uses available official data for completed games [1]. If the season is cancelled, is postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or the yardage cannot be determined, the market resolves "50-50" [1]. The stated resolution source is official NFL information, though a consensus of credible reporting may also be used [1].
The listed end time is 2027-01-27T04:59:00.000Z [1]. This is a closing time in the contract data. It does not show that any game or announcement is scheduled for that date.
Reading the snapshot
The provider observation time is 2026-10-16T06:00:05.833Z, and the record was retrieved at 2026-10-16T06:29:40.154Z [1]. The prices describe only that observed moment. They are not executable quotes or verified probabilities.
At observation, the quoted Yes prices were 0.98 for 224.5+, 0.855 for 424.5+, 0.435 for 624.5+, 0.155 for 824.5+, and 0.12 for 1,024.5+ [1]. Each threshold is a distinct contract, so these values should be read individually rather than summed or averaged. The sample includes all five saved markets for this one Polymarket event, and partialSample is false [1]. The provider notes that inclusion does not establish that every possible real-world outcome is listed [1]. The evidence includes no trading volume, so it says nothing about liquidity or the number of traders.
What remains uncertain
The evidence does not explain why any price sits where it does, and it contains no news or other context about LaPorta's season [1]. Only one source is supplied, so this summary cannot compare wording or close times with other platforms, and differing prices across contracts are not evidence of an opportunity. The record lists the market as active at observation, but the status and prices may have changed since then, so readers should check the live listing. The cancellation and postponement terms refer to events that the evidence does not describe.

Overview
PredictPedia's saved data for this topic is a Polymarket event titled "Pro Football: Sam LaPorta 2026-27 Regular Season Receiving Yards" [1]. Each contract asks whether Sam LaPorta will record at least a listed number of receiving yards during the 2026-27 NFL regular season [1]. The saved event contains five thresholds: 224.5, 424.5, 624.5, 824.5 and 1,024.5 yards [1]. Each threshold is a separate contract with its own Yes and No sides, so the contracts should be read individually rather than as a ranking. The contract rules state that the market resolves "Yes" if his receiving yards equal or exceed the listed number, and "No" otherwise [1]. If LaPorta does not play in the 2026-27 regular season for any reason, the market resolves "No" [1]. If the season is shortened, truncated or ends early, the outcome is determined using available official data for completed games [1]. If the season is cancelled, is postponed after January 26, 2027 at 11:59 PM ET, or if it cannot be determined how many receiving yards he recorded in that period, the market resolves "50-50" [1]. The stated resolution source is official NFL information, although a consensus of credible reporting may also be used [1]. The listed end time is 2027-01-27 at 04:59 UTC, which corresponds to the January 26 cutoff in Eastern Time described in the rules [1]. This is a field in the contract, not an announced date for any game or event. The provider listed the event as active at the time of the saved observation on 2026-10-16 at 06:00 UTC [1].
Historical Context
Sam LaPorta played college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes, and he was named the Big Ten Tight End of the Year in 2022 [2]. For background on how a recent NFL season was structured, the 2023 NFL season was the 104th season of the league, its regular season began on September 7, 2023, and it ended on January 7, 2024 [3]. Those dates describe that earlier season only and do not establish the timing of the 2026-27 regular season.
Why It Matters
Each contract measures one specific outcome: whether Sam LaPorta's total regular-season receiving yards for 2026-27 reach a given threshold [1]. The thresholds are spaced across the saved event, so each contract addresses a different level of production [1]. The rules also address outcomes that could affect how a contract settles, including whether he plays at all, a shortened season, and a cancelled or postponed season [1]. Prices shown in the event are snapshots from the provider at a specific time, not executable quotes or verified probabilities, and trading volume does not indicate liquidity or the number of participants.

The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-16 at 06:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket.
