About This Event
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the number of passing yards C.J. Stroud records during the 2026-27 NFL regular season equals or exceeds the listed number. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If C.J. Stroud does not play in the 2026-27 NFL regular season for any reason, this market will resolve to "No". If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened, truncated, or ends early for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available official data for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined how many passing yards C.J. Stroud recorded within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "50-50". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
This analysis is awaiting a background update, so its prices may be older than the odds above.

What the contract measures
Each market in this snapshot asks whether C.J. Stroud will record at least a listed number of passing yards in the 2026-27 NFL regular season [1]. The rules say the market resolves "Yes" if the number of passing yards "equals or exceeds the listed number," and "No" otherwise [1].
Several rule details matter for comparison. If Stroud does not play in the regular season "for any reason," the market resolves "No" [1]. If the season is shortened, truncated, or ends early, the outcome is determined "using available official data for completed games" [1]. If the season is cancelled, is postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or the yardage cannot be determined within that timeframe, the market resolves "50-50" [1]. The stated resolution source is "official information from the NFL," though "a consensus of credible reporting may also be used" [1].
The listed end time is 2027-01-27T04:59:00.000Z [1]. This is a contract closing time, not an announced event date.
Reading the snapshot
The provider observation time is 2026-10-16T03:00:06Z, and the retrieval time is 2026-10-16T05:03:02Z. These prices describe that observation only. They are not live quotes and are not verified probabilities.
The sample includes five separate contracts, all from one event, with thresholds of 3,099.5, 3,349.5, 3,599.5, 3,849.5, and 4,099.5 yards. Their listed Yes prices are 0.9245, 0.715, 0.615, 0.46, and 0.335 [1]. Each contract is a distinct yes-or-no question, so these figures should not be averaged or merged into a single estimate. The Yes price falls as the threshold rises, which describes the snapshot only and does not explain why.
Within each contract, the Yes and No prices sum to 1.00 in this snapshot. Price differences between contracts do not by themselves indicate an opportunity, because the thresholds, rules, and closing times define what is being compared.
What remains uncertain
The coverage record reports that all five markets were included, with no partial sample [1]. The provider's sample warning, however, states that this "does not establish that the providers list every possible real-world outcome" [1]. The snapshot does not include volume data, trader counts, or executable depth, so it says nothing about how easily these prices could be traded. The evidence also does not explain any movement in these prices, and it does not provide information on Stroud's current status or recent news.

Overview
This article covers a Polymarket event that asks how many regular-season passing yards Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud will record in the 2026-27 NFL regular season [1][2]. The event groups several yardage thresholds into one set of contracts. Each contract asks whether Stroud's regular-season passing total will equal or exceed a specific number, so the same season produces a separate yes or no question at each line. The contract is not a bet on a single game or a single statistic in one matchup. It measures the season total. Under the contract rules, a Yes outcome requires Stroud's passing yards for the 2026-27 regular season to reach the listed figure, and a No outcome applies if the total falls short [1]. The current event uses thresholds such as 3,099.5, 3,349.5, 3,599.5, 3,849.5 and 4,099.5 passing yards, and each one is listed as its own market [1]. The contract also covers situations where the season does not run normally. If Stroud does not play in the 2026-27 regular season for any reason, the market resolves to No [1]. If the season is shortened, truncated or ends early, the outcome is determined from official data for the games that were completed [1]. These provisions mean that a missed season or a shortened schedule changes how the contract settles, so the thresholds should be read alongside those rules rather than as a simple forecast of a full 17-game total. The contract rules set a cutoff for postponements. If the season is cancelled, or is postponed after January 26, 2027 at 11:59 PM ET, or if the number of passing yards cannot be determined within that timeframe, the market resolves to 50-50 [1]. The listed end time for the event is 2027-01-27 at 04:59 UTC [1]. That date appears in the contract rules as a closing time. It is not an announced date for any game, season event or outcome.
Historical Context
The Wikipedia article on Stroud reports that he was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2021 and 2022 and was drafted by the Houston Texans second overall in 2023 [2]. It also says that in his rookie season he led the Texans to a division title and a playoff victory, and that he won the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award [2]. These facts describe his past career only. The contract refers to the 2026-27 regular season. For context, Wikipedia's entry on the 2025 NFL season says that regular season began on September 4, 2025 and ended on January 4, 2026 [3]. That previous season's dates are background for understanding how an NFL regular season is scheduled. They do not show when the 2026-27 season will begin or end.
Why It Matters
The contract measures whether a single quarterback reaches a set number of regular-season passing yards [1]. Traders and readers can see from the listed thresholds how the question changes as the number rises. The rules tie each contract to official NFL information, and a consensus of credible reporting may also be used if needed [1]. That makes the resolution source part of the contract's meaning, since the outcome depends on which record the rules recognize. The rules also show what the contract does not cover. It does not ask about playoff results, individual games or other players [1]. It only asks about the regular-season passing total for Stroud, along with the special handling for cancelled, postponed or shortened seasons [1].
Snapshot context

Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update. [1]
