If Delaware Superior Court sides with Brigitte Macron in Macron and Macron vs Owens (case number: N25C-07-194 CLS) before Jan 1, 2028, then the market resolves to Yes. Secondary rules: For this market, the case is Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Macron v. Candace Owens, Candace Owens LLC, and GeorgeTom, Inc., in the Superior Court of the State of Delaware, C.A. No. N25C-07-194.
Brigitte Macron achieves the superior outcome through the following exclusive hierarchy:
Net Monetary Recovery (Highest Priority): Brigitte Macron achieves the superior outcome if she receives a larger net monetary award than all opposing parties combined (after offsetting any awards against her), or receives any monetary award while opposing parties receive $0 net. Monetary awards include compensatory damages, punitive damages, restitution, and statutory damages. Attorney's fees and costs are excluded.
Substantive Legal Victory (Second Priority): If no net monetary advantage exists for any party, Brigitte Macron achieves the superior outcome if she prevails on the claims seeking the largest dollar amount of relief in her original pleadings. If relief amounts are equal or unclear, she achieves the superior outcome if she prevails on the greater number of primary causes of action.
Case Termination Advantage (Third Priority): If the case terminates without substantive judgment, Brigitte Macron achieves the superior outcome if opposing parties voluntarily dismiss all claims against her with prejudice. All other termination scenarios result in no superior outcome for any party.
Settlements:
If the parties settle with a disclosed net payment to Brigitte Macron, she achieves the superior outcome.
If the parties settle with a disclosed net payment from Brigitte Macron to opposing parties, she does not achieve the superior outcome.
If the parties settle with mutual releases and no disclosed payment direction, or if settlement terms are sealed and no Source Agency reports payment direction within 7 days of the settlement announcement, no party achieves a superior outcome.
Key exclusions: This market applies only to trial-level resolution and excludes all appeals processes. Only claims directly involving Brigitte Macron are considered. Procedural victories (discovery sanctions, fee awards alone, contempt citations) do not constitute superior outcomes unless accompanied by substantive relief on the merits. A ruling on a motion to dismiss that leaves claims pending is not a final resolution; a dismissal that ends the entire trial-level action is evaluated under the hierarchy above. Early close condition: This market will close and expire early if the event occurs.
