Will the United States Senate confirm a Cabinet nominee in the 120th Congress before Jan 1, 2028?
If the Senate confirmed a nominee to a Cabinet-level position in the 120th Congress after Issuance and before Jan 1, 2028, then the market resolves to Yes. Secondary rules: Only a vote of the full Senate to confirm a nomination counts, as recorded by the United States Senate, whether by roll call, voice vote, unanimous consent or en bloc resolution. A committee vote, a nomination, a hearing, or a person serving in an acting capacity does not count. The 120th Congress begins on Jan 3, 2027; confirmations before then do not count. The Cabinet includes the heads of the 15 executive departments, the Administrator of the EPA, Director of National Intelligence, Director of OMB, Director of the CIA, United States Trade Representative, Ambassador to the UN, Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, Administrator of the SBA, and Director of OSTP. Early close condition: This market will close and expire early if the event occurs.
