Event Overview

Before Jul 1, 2027 If the European Commission announces its adoption of a delegated act adding U.S. sanctions measures targeting the International Criminal Court, including Executive Order 14203, to the Annex of the EU Blocking Statute (Council Regulation (EC) No 2271/96) before Jul 1, 2027, then the market resolves to Yes. Only the European Commission's announcement that it has adopted the delegated act counts, whether by press release, by an official posting such as in the Register of Delegated Acts, or by publication in the Official Journal of the European Union; the act need not have entered into force. The act counts whether the Annex lists Executive Order 14203 itself or regulations or other instruments implementing U.S. sanctions on the International Criminal Court. The following do NOT count: A proposal, draft, consultation or announced intention, or a statement that the blocking statute remains an option Other measures to protect the International Criminal Court, such as funding, guidance or a Council decision A delegated act that adds only U.S. measures unrelated to the International Criminal Court This market will close and expire early if the event occurs.
