About This Event
This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Munich Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 21 Oct '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=eddm If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. In the case that the Resolution Source publishes data, sufficient to settle a Market, that is clearly erroneous and the result of technical or operational error, or of unauthorized interference with the Resolution Source or its data, the Market may remain open for a period of up to seven (7) calendar days (ET) from the time of the original release, in anticipation of a correction by the Resolution Source. If the Resolution Source publishes a corrected value within that period, that value will be eligible for resolution. If no corrected value is published within that period, Polymarket will issue a Clarification to determine whether the originally published value may be eligible for resolution, or whether other action is required to preserve the orderly functioning of the Market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

What the contract measures
This event asks which temperature range contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Munich Airport Station, in degrees Celsius, on 21 Oct '26 [1]. The resolution source is the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on that day [1]. Readings are measured to whole degrees Celsius [1]. If NOAA data is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the following day, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table is used. If no data exists by that time, the market resolves to the lowest bracket [1].
The listed end time is 2026-10-21T12:00:00.000Z [1]. The rules also say the market resolves once the first data point for the following date is published, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first [1]. The excerpt does not explain how the listed end time relates to these rules, so readers should check the full rules on the platform.
Reading the snapshot
The snapshot was observed at 06:00 UTC on October 19, 2026, and retrieved at 06:57 UTC the same day [1]. It contains 11 markets, all included in the sample, each with status active [1]. Each market is a separate temperature threshold: 1°C or below, 11°C or higher, and each single degree from 2°C to 10°C [1].
Yes prices were 0.50 for 1°C or below, 0.49 for 11°C or higher, and 0.34 for each single degree from 2°C to 10°C [1]. These are snapshot prices, not executable quotes or verified probabilities. The Yes prices across the 11 contracts sum to about 4.05, so they cannot be read together as one probability distribution. The excerpt gives no reason for the identical prices in the middle range.
Volume and trader counts are not included in this evidence, so it cannot show liquidity or how many participants hold each view.
What remains uncertain
The sample includes all saved markets for this one Polymarket event, but the source notes that this does not establish that the provider lists every possible real-world outcome [1]. This evidence covers one platform, so no cross-platform comparison is possible, and prices from other contracts should not be averaged with these.
The snapshot was taken about two days before the listed end time, and this evidence does not show current prices. Resolution also depends on NOAA publication. The rules allow a market to remain open for up to seven calendar days if the resolution source publishes clearly erroneous data and a correction is expected [1].

Saved Oct 19, 2026 UTCOverview
This PredictPedia market is a Polymarket event titled "Lowest temperature in Munich on October 21?" It asks which temperature range will contain the lowest temperature recorded at the Munich Airport Station on 21 October 2026, measured in degrees Celsius [1]. The event is grouped under the climate category and is a set of separate temperature brackets rather than a single yes or no question [1]. The brackets in the saved sample run from a bracket for 1°C or below, through single-degree brackets from 2°C to 10°C, to a bracket for 11°C or higher [1]. The resolution source is NOAA. The rules name the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on the observation day, from NOAA's Munich Airport time series [1]. Temperatures are resolved to whole degrees Celsius, so a reading such as 9°C is the level of precision used for settlement [1]. If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day after that date, the rules switch to the Weather Underground Daily Observations table [1]. If no usable data exists for the observation date by that same deadline, the market resolves to the lowest bracket [1]. The timing rules are the main thing to understand. The market resolves once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day after the observation date, whichever comes first [1]. The rules also allow revisions to temperatures recorded within the market's timeframe until the first data point for the following date has been published [1]. The provider's listed end time for the event is 2026-10-21T12:00:00Z, but that field is a listing value and should be read alongside the resolution wording rather than treated as the moment settlement occurs [1]. The rules also cover erroneous data. If the resolution source publishes data that is clearly erroneous because of technical or operational error, or because of unauthorized interference, the market may stay open for up to seven calendar days (ET) from the original release while a correction is awaited [1]. If a corrected value is published in that window, that value is eligible for resolution. If not, Polymarket may issue a clarification on whether the original value can be used or whether other action is needed [1]. The Munich location itself is described in background sources. Munich is the capital and most populous city of the German state of Bavaria, and it sits on the river Isar north of the Alps [2]. That background explains the place, but it does not describe the station's historical readings or the expected weather for the date in question.
Why It Matters
The contract measures a single number: the lowest temperature recorded at the Munich Airport Station on 21 October 2026, taken from the NOAA time series and rounded to whole degrees Celsius [1]. Each bracket is a separate contract that resolves according to which range contains that recorded minimum [1]. Because the reading comes from a specific station and a specific data feed, the outcome depends on that station's published values and on the timing and correction rules, not on general descriptions of Munich's climate [1][2].
Snapshot context
The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-19 at 06:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update. [1]
Frequently Asked Questions
What temperature does this market measure?
It measures the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Munich Airport Station on 21 October 2026, expressed in degrees Celsius [1].

The resolution source measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius, so resolution uses that level of precision, such as 9°C [1].
What happens if NOAA data is missing?
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day after, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table is used. If there is no data for the observation date by that deadline, the market resolves to the lowest bracket [1].
When does the market resolve?
It resolves once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first [1].
Can revised temperatures change the outcome?
Revisions to temperatures recorded within the market's timeframe are considered until the first data point for the following date is published. Later alterations are not considered [1].
What if the published data appears to be wrong?
If the resolution source publishes clearly erroneous data caused by technical or operational error or unauthorized interference, the market may remain open for up to seven calendar days (ET) for a correction. If no corrected value appears, Polymarket may issue a Clarification [1].
