About This Event
This market will resolve according to the listed driver that finishes 1st in the driver standings for the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series. This market will resolve as soon as the official results of the final scheduled race of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series are known. If multiple drivers tie for first place in the drivers standings, this market will resolve according to the tiebreak procedure used by NASCAR to determine the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series champion. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed driver to win the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series Championship based on the rules of NASCAR (e.g., they are mathematically eliminated from contention), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season is permanently canceled or has not been completed by November 22, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from NASCAR.

What the contract measures
The Polymarket event "NASCAR Cup Series: 2026 Champion" groups contracts that each ask whether one listed driver will win the 2026 championship. The rules state that "This market will resolve according to the listed driver that finishes 1st in the driver standings for the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series." [1] Ties follow "the tiebreak procedure used by NASCAR." [1]
The rules also specify other outcomes. A driver who becomes mathematically eliminated results in a "No" resolution. If the season is "permanently canceled or has not been completed by November 22, 2026, 11:59 PM ET," the market resolves to "Other." [1] The primary resolution source is "official information from NASCAR." [1]
Timing differs across fields. The rules say the market resolves "as soon as the official results of the final scheduled race of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series are known." [1] The event lists an end time of 2026-11-23T04:59:00.000Z, while the individual contracts show an end date of 2026-11-08T23:59:00.000Z. [1] These are listed timestamps, not announced race dates, and the evidence does not explain the gap between them.
Reading the snapshot
The provider data was observed at 2026-10-26T15:00:05.977Z and retrieved at 15:32:39.720Z. [1] These prices describe that moment only and are not live quotes. They are not executable prices or verified probabilities.
The sample is partial. The event has 16 markets, and 12 are included. [1] The included set is ordered by Yes price, so the four omitted markets are not shown and their prices are not in the evidence. Read the included prices as a subset of the event, not the full field.
In the snapshot, Kyle Larson's Yes price is 0.8725 and his No price is 0.1275. [1] Denny Hamlin's Yes price is 0.052 and Christopher Bell's is 0.031. [1] Each contract is its own binary question, so the prices should not be averaged or compared as a single distribution. The evidence does not explain why prices are where they are, and trading volume is not included here, so it cannot indicate liquidity or the number of traders.
What remains uncertain
The snapshot does not show current standings, race results, or how many races remain. It also does not show whether any driver has been eliminated since the observation. Those points would need newer evidence. Any difference in prices between this event and another platform's contract would not on its own indicate an arbitrage opportunity, because wording, end times, and resolution sources may differ.

Saved Oct 26, 2026 UTCOverview
The NASCAR Cup Series: 2026 Champion event is a prediction market on who will finish first in the drivers' standings for the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series. The contract rules state that the market resolves according to the listed driver that finishes 1st in the driver standings for that season [1]. Resolution is tied to the official results of the final scheduled race of the 2026 season, not to the date when a price is observed [1]. The 2026 season is the 78th season of NASCAR professional stock car racing in the United States and the 55th season of the modern-era Cup Series. The preseason included the Cook Out Clash exhibition race on February 4 at Bowman Gray Stadium, and the season-opening 68th running of the Daytona 500 took place on February 15 at Daytona International Speedway [2]. Wikipedia's season article states that the season will end at Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 8 [2]. That article is an encyclopedia summary and is not a live feed of race results, so readers should treat its statements as background about the season's schedule rather than as confirmation of the season's current standings. The contract's rules also set out several outcomes that depend on events during the season. If a driver becomes mathematically eliminated from contention under NASCAR's rules, the market for that driver resolves to "No" [1]. If multiple drivers tie for first place in the standings, the market resolves according to the tiebreak procedure NASCAR uses to determine the champion [1]. If the season is permanently canceled or has not been completed by November 22, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, the market resolves to "Other" [1]. That November 22 date is a condition in the contract rules, not an announced schedule item, and the rules describe the primary resolution source as official information from NASCAR [1]. Each market in the event asks about a single driver winning the championship and has Yes and No outcomes [1]. The event's contract timing is separate from race timing. The provider lists an end time for the event, but the rules say the market resolves once official final-race results are known, so the listed end time does not by itself determine the winner [1].
Historical Context
The NASCAR Cup Series Drivers' Championship is awarded by the chairman of NASCAR to the most successful driver over a season, as determined by a points system based on race results. It was first awarded in 1949 to Red Byron. Herb Thomas was the first driver to win multiple championships, in 1951 and 1953 [3]. Kyle Larson won his second championship in 2025 [3]. The 2026 season is the 55th season of the modern-era Cup Series and the 78th season of NASCAR professional stock car racing overall [2].
Why It Matters
The contract measures which driver finishes first in the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series drivers' standings, as determined by NASCAR's official results [1]. The championship is decided by a points system based on race results [3], so the market's outcome depends on the full season rather than on any single race. Because the rules provide for ties, eliminations, and cancellation or incomplete seasons, the contract's resolution can differ from a simple reading of the championship title [1]. The event's sampled prices reflect market activity for the listed drivers at the time of the provider observation, but they do not show how any driver's chances will develop before the season ends.
Snapshot context
The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-26 at 15:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update. [1]
