About This Event
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the Superettan (Sweden) for the 2026 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Superettan (Sweden) for the 2026 season per the rules of Superettan (Sweden) (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the Superettan (Sweden); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
This analysis is awaiting a background update, so its prices may be older than the odds above.

What the contract measures
The saved event asks, for each listed club, whether it will be runner-up in the 2026 Superettan (Sweden) [1]. A market resolves to "Yes" if its listed club is determined as runner-up, and to "No" otherwise [1]. If a listed club can no longer finish runner-up, its market resolves to "No" [1]. If several clubs are declared second-place finishers, the market resolves in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically [1]. If the event is cancelled, is postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or no runner-up is declared within that timeframe, the market resolves to "Other" [1]. The listed end time is 2027-01-01T04:59:00.000Z [1]. That is a closing time in the contract rules, not an announced event date.
Reading the snapshot
The provider observation time is 2026-10-16T06:00:05.833Z, and the source was retrieved at 2026-10-16T06:41:25.729Z [1]. These timestamps describe when the data was captured. They do not show when the contracts close or resolve, and the prices should not be read as live. The provider status is active [1].
The sample includes all nine saved markets, so it is not a partial sample [1]. Yes prices range from 0.26 for Sandvikens IF to 0.385 for five clubs. Falkenbergs FF is at 0.38, Nordic United FC at 0.37, and IFK Norrköping at 0.36 [1]. These are snapshot prices, not executable quotes or verified probabilities. The nine Yes prices total roughly 3.3, so they cannot be read as one probability distribution across the field. All markets come from one platform, so no cross-platform comparison is possible. Price differences between contracts should not be treated as an arbitrage signal, because the wording and resolution rules are specific to each market.
What remains uncertain
The provider notes that all saved markets are included, but this "does not establish that the providers list every possible real-world outcome" [1]. The sample is ordered by Yes price, so it reflects the saved event, not the full real-world field.
The supplied evidence contains no match results, standings, or current league table. It therefore cannot show which club is currently in second place or how likely any club is to finish there. The evidence also does not report any resolution outcome. The supplied snapshot includes no volume or trader counts, so it says nothing about liquidity or how many participants hold each view.

Overview
This contract belongs to a set of Polymarket markets on who will finish as runner-up in the 2026 Superettan, Sweden's second-tier men's football league. The provider event is titled Superettan (Sweden): 2026 Runner-Up, and each market asks whether one named club will be the runner-up for the 2026 season [1]. Each market is a yes or no contract. Its price is a snapshot of trading activity at one moment, not an executable quote or a verified probability. The contract is listed as active, with a listed end time of 1 January 2027 at 04:59 UTC [1]. That end time corresponds to 11:59 PM Eastern Time on 31 December 2026, which is the cutoff the rules use for cancellation or postponement [1]. The date is a rule parameter, not an announced event date. The season itself is described on Wikipedia as running from 3 April to 7 November, with a summer break between 28 June and 18 July [2]. Those dates come from a Wikipedia page retrieved on 16 October 2026, so they describe the published schedule rather than a confirmed live status of the matches. The saved event includes nine club-specific markets. Each one is sold in identical structure, with a Yes and a No outcome [1]. The nine clubs are IK Oddevold, Landskrona BoIS, Varbergs BoIS, Östers IF, Östersunds FK, Falkenbergs FF, Nordic United FC, IFK Norrköping and Sandvikens IF [1].
Historical Context
Wikipedia describes the 2026 Superettan as the 27th season of Superettan in its current format, contested by 16 teams [2]. The league is described as Sweden's second-tier football division and the second highest level of the Swedish men's league system [3]. It operates with promotion and relegation with Allsvenskan and Division 1 [3]. Seasons run from April to October, with each team playing 30 matches and 240 matches in total per season [3]. These are general background facts from the sources and do not describe the 2026 table or any team's current position.
Why It Matters
The contract measures whether a specific club finishes second in the 2026 Superettan table. Each market in the saved event covers one club, and the Yes outcome pays only if that club is determined to be the runner-up under the league's rules [1]. The rules also state that if a listed club becomes unable to finish as runner-up, for example because it is eliminated, the market resolves to No [1]. Because the rules name the Superettan's official information as the resolution source, with a consensus of credible reporting allowed as a supplement, the contract depends on how the league and reporting identify the second-place finisher [1]. The saved yes prices for the nine clubs are snapshots at the observation time, so they reflect what participants were willing to pay at that moment and should not be read as confirmed chances of finishing second.
Snapshot context
The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-16 at 06:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update. [1]
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if two teams are declared second-place finishers?
The rules say that if multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, the market resolves in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically [1].
What happens if the event is cancelled or postponed?
The market resolves to Other if the event is cancelled, if it is postponed after 31 December 2026 at 11:59 PM ET, or if a runner-up has not been declared within that timeframe [1].
Who determines the result?
The stated resolution source is official information from the Superettan, although a consensus of credible reporting may also be used [1].
Does a price near a given level mean the club has that chance of finishing second?
No. The price is a snapshot of market trading at the observation time and is not a verified probability or an executable quote [1].
Do the saved markets cover every possible finishing position?
The saved event contains nine markets, and all saved markets for this event are included in the sample. The sample does not establish that the provider lists every possible club in the league, so a club missing from the list should not be assumed to have any particular price [1].
