About This Event

As of market creation, Roblox is estimated to release earnings on October 29, 2026. The Street consensus estimate for Roblox's GAAP EPS for the relevant quarter is $-0.43 as of market creation. This market will resolve to "Yes" if Roblox reports GAAP EPS greater than $-0.43 for the relevant quarter in its next quarterly earnings release. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No." The resolution source will be the GAAP EPS listed in the company’s official earnings documents. If Roblox releases earnings without GAAP EPS, then the market will resolve according to the GAAP EPS figure reported by SeekingAlpha. If no such figure is published within 96h of market close (4:00:00pm ET) on the day earnings are announced, the market will resolve to “No”. If the company does not release earnings within 45 calendar days of the estimated earnings date, this market will resolve to “No.” Note: Subsequent restatements, corrections, or revisions made to the initially announced GAAP EPS figure will not qualify for resolution, except in the case of obvious and immediate mistakes (e.g., fat finger errors, as with Lyft's (LYFT) earnings release in February 2024). Note: The strike prices used in these markets reflect the selected street consensus estimate for GAAP EPS as of market creation. Note: All figures will be rounded to the nearest cent using standard rounding. Note: For the purposes of this market, IFRS EPS will be treated as GAAP EPS. Note: GAAP EPS refers to diluted GAAP EPS, unless this is not published, in which case it refers to basic GAAP EPS. Note: All figures are expressed in USD, unless otherwise indicated. Note: For primarily internationally listed companies, this market refers specifically to the shares traded in the United States on U.S. stock exchanges such as the NYSE or Nasdaq. In cases where the company trades in the U.S. through an American Depositary Receipt (ADR) or American Depositary Share (ADS), this market will refer to the ADR/ADS.

Current Market Outlook

Polymarket traders currently price a 64% chance that Roblox beats the Street consensus of $-0.47 GAAP EPS when it reports on February 5, 2026. That's a moderate confidence signal, meaning the market sees an earnings beat as more likely than not, but the thin $6K in volume across this market should temper how much weight you put on the number. With liquidity this shallow, a single large order can move the price meaningfully.

The market is essentially asking whether Roblox can narrow its losses faster than analysts expect. Roblox has never posted a profitable quarter as a public company, so the question isn't whether they'll surprise to the upside on revenue, it's whether cost discipline and platform economics can outpace the Street's gloomy bottom-line forecast.

Key Factors Driving the Odds

Roblox's Q3 2025 results, reported in late October, showed daily active users up 22% year-over-year to roughly 95 million, with bookings growth in the high teens. That momentum supports the bull case. The company has also been aggressive on infrastructure costs, moving more workloads to its own data centers rather than paying hyperscaler premiums, which directly improves gross margin.

The developer ecosystem is another swing factor. Roblox's 2025 fee structure changes, which shifted how developers monetize paid access games, created short-term revenue disruption but longer-term engagement benefits. If those changes are now stabilizing, bookings could come in ahead of expectations, which typically flows through to a smaller-than-expected loss.

What Could Change These Odds

The February 5 date sits squarely in holiday spending territory. Roblox's Q4 is historically its strongest for bookings, driven by gift card purchases and seasonal engagement. A weak holiday showing, visible in daily active user metrics or average bookings per user, would quickly deflate that 64% probability.

Currency is a quieter risk. Roughly 20% of Roblox bookings come from international markets, and a stronger dollar against the euro and yen compresses reported revenue. The Fed's rate path through January will influence that exposure.

One more consideration: Roblox management has a track record of guiding conservatively, then beating. They did exactly that in three of the four quarters in 2025. That pattern, combined with the platform's secular growth in teen and young adult engagement, makes the 64% price feel slightly low rather than high. The market might be overweighting Roblox's history of aggressive spending and underweighting how much the cost structure has improved over the last year.

Overview

Roblox Corporation (NYSE: RBLX) is a global online platform and game creation system that allows users to program games and play games created by other users. The company is scheduled to release its quarterly earnings report on February 5, 2026, covering the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025 (October to December 2025). The prediction market in question asks whether Roblox will beat the Street consensus estimate for GAAP earnings per share (EPS), which stands at $-0.47. This means the market will resolve to "Yes" if Roblox reports a GAAP EPS greater than $-0.47 (i.e., a smaller loss or a profit), and "No" if the reported EPS is $-0.47 or lower. The resolution will be based on the GAAP EPS figure in Roblox's official earnings release, not on non-GAAP or adjusted figures that companies often emphasize.

Historical Context

Roblox has consistently reported GAAP net losses since going public in 2021. For example, in fiscal 2023, the company reported a net loss of $1.16 billion, and in fiscal 2024, the loss narrowed to $936 million. Quarterly GAAP EPS has been negative for every quarter since the IPO, with losses typically ranging from $-0.30 to $-0.50 per share. In the fourth quarter of 2024, Roblox reported GAAP EPS of $-0.33, which beat the consensus estimate of $-0.40 at that time. In the third quarter of 2025, the company reported GAAP EPS of $-0.32, again beating the consensus of $-0.38. These beats were driven by higher-than-expected bookings and disciplined cost management.

Why It Matters

Roblox is one of the largest user-generated content platforms, with over 80 million daily active users as of 2025. Its financial performance is a bellwether for the metaverse and creator economy, influencing investor sentiment across the tech sector. A beat or miss on EPS can trigger significant stock price movements, affecting shareholders and index funds that hold RBLX. Moreover, Roblox's earnings provide insights into consumer spending on virtual goods, which is a growing segment of the digital economy. The company's profitability trajectory is closely watched because it has been a high-growth but loss-making business, and reaching profitability would validate its business model.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Roblox's GAAP EPS?

GAAP EPS is the earnings per share calculated under generally accepted accounting principles, which includes all expenses, stock-based compensation, and taxes. Roblox has consistently reported negative GAAP EPS due to heavy investments, even when non-GAAP metrics like adjusted EBITDA are positive.

How does Roblox make money?

Roblox earns revenue primarily from the sale of its virtual currency, Robux, which users spend on in-game items and experiences. The company takes a cut of each transaction, typically around 30%, and also generates revenue from advertising and premium subscriptions.

When will Roblox report its next earnings?

Roblox is scheduled to release its Q4 2025 earnings on February 5, 2026. The exact time is usually after market close, and the company will hold a conference call with analysts.

What is the difference between GAAP and non-GAAP EPS?

GAAP EPS follows standard accounting rules and includes all expenses, while non-GAAP EPS often excludes items like stock-based compensation, acquisition costs, and one-time charges. Companies like Roblox often emphasize non-GAAP metrics to show profitability, but the prediction market uses GAAP EPS as the resolution criterion.

Why is Roblox's EPS always negative?

Roblox invests heavily in infrastructure, developer incentives, and research and development. These costs are expensed under GAAP, leading to net losses. The company's management argues that these investments drive long-term growth, but they weigh on current EPS.

How can I find Roblox's official earnings release?

Roblox publishes its earnings releases on its investor relations website (ir.roblox.com) and in SEC filings (Form 8-K). The GAAP EPS figure will be stated in the press release's income statement.
