About This Event
In the upcoming match between SS Lazio and Cagliari Calcio, scheduled for November 1, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET: This market will resolve to "SS Lazio" if SS Lazio are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "Cagliari Calcio" if Cagliari Calcio are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time), this market will resolve "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time. Second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

What the contract measures
This snapshot covers one Polymarket event, "SS Lazio vs. Cagliari Calcio - 1st Half First Team to Score," with the match described as "scheduled for November 1, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET" [1]. It includes three separate contracts: whether SS Lazio is first to score in the first half, whether Cagliari Calcio is first to score in the first half, and whether neither team scores first in the first half [1].
The wording matters. Only goals within the "first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time" count, and second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded [1]. If the game is postponed, the market remains open until the game is completed. A game canceled entirely, with no make-up game, resolves to "Neither" [1]. The listed end time is 2026-11-01T14:00:00.000Z [1]. This is a listed close time, not a confirmed result date. The rules also set a fallback order for data sources and say a market with no acceptable data within 24 hours of the event's conclusion resolves 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable [1].
Reading the snapshot
The provider observation time is 2026-10-24T21:00:06.013Z, and the source was retrieved at 2026-10-24T22:52:33.256Z [1]. The prices describe the saved observation, not a live quote and not necessarily the price at the time you read this. All three contracts show a Yes price of 0.49 and a No price of 0.51 [1]. These are snapshot prices, not executable quotes or verified probabilities. The record does not include spreads, depth, fees, or volume, so it cannot show what a trade would cost.
Because the three Yes prices are identical, this snapshot shows no ranking among the outcomes. Read together, the three Yes prices total 1.47, which is above 1 even though the three contracts appear to cover all listed possibilities [1]. The record does not explain this. It is not by itself an arbitrage opportunity, since execution costs and contract terms are not in the evidence.
Only one platform appears, so no cross-platform comparison is possible.
What remains uncertain
The sample is complete for this saved event: all three markets are included and the record states partialSample is false [1]. The record does not establish that the provider lists every possible real-world outcome. It also contains no current match status, lineup news, postponement notice, or official result. Price movement since the observation is unknown, and the record does not explain any movement. Check the current provider page before relying on these figures.

Overview
This PredictPedia entry covers a sports prediction market on Polymarket about which team, if either, scores first in the first half of a match between SS Lazio and Cagliari Calcio. The contract is part of a Polymarket event titled "SS Lazio vs. Cagliari Calcio - 1st Half First Team to Score" [1]. The event's rules describe the match as scheduled for November 1, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET, and the listed end time for the event is 2026-11-01T14:00:00.000Z [1]. That date appears in the contract rules, so it should not be read as a separately announced event date. The market resolves to "SS Lazio" if Lazio are the first team to score in the first half, to "Cagliari Calcio" if Cagliari are first, and to "Neither" if no team scores in the first half [1]. The first half is defined as the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time. Second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded [1]. The rules also say that if the game is postponed, the market stays open until the match is completed, and if the game is canceled entirely with no make-up game, the market resolves to "Neither" [1]. The rules name a source order for settlement. The primary source is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. If those are not published within 2 hours after the event ends, Flashscore data may be used, then Sofascore data, and then a consensus of credible reporting. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, the market resolves 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable [1]. Revisions to final scores made after resolution are not taken into account [1].
Why It Matters
The contract measures a narrow outcome: which side, if any, records the first goal within the first half of one specified match [1]. Because it is tied to a single match and a defined time window, it does not capture the full result of the game, the second half, or the final score. Its rules show how a sports contract can settle on an official data hierarchy with fallback sources and a specific deadline for missing data [1]. Readers should treat any price shown for this contract as a snapshot of market activity at one moment, not as a verified probability of the outcome.
Snapshot context
The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-24 at 21:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update. [1]
