Resolution Criteria
If the first song performed by any of Madonna, Shakira, or BTS (any member of BTS) during the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show scheduled for July 19, 2026 at New York New Jersey Stadium is the song ''SWIM'' as performed by any of Madonna, Shakira, or BTS (any member of BTS) (i.e., its recognizable melody or lyrics sung), whether performed in full, in part, in a medley, or in a mashup, provided it is at least reasonably begun, then the market resolves to Yes. CLARIFICATION: This market pertains to the first qualifying song performed during the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show by Madonna, Shakira, or BTS (any member of BTS). If none of the songs listed in this event is the first qualifying song performed, all markets in this event will resolve to No.
When determining the first qualifying song, the following are disregarded regardless of when they occur: national anthems, the FIFA Anthem ("DNA") or other tournament anthems, official tournament songs not performed by Madonna, Shakira, or BTS (any member of BTS), walk-on or entrance music, interstitial or transition music, and any background or venue music not performed by Madonna, Shakira, or BTS (any member of BTS).
If another artist (e.g., Justin Bieber) performs one or more songs before Madonna, Shakira, or BTS (any member of BTS), those performances are disregarded. The market instead resolves based on the first qualifying song reasonably begun by Madonna, Shakira, or BTS (any member of BTS), whether performed in full, in part, in a medley, or in a mashup.
A song performed jointly by another artist and Madonna, Shakira, or BTS (any member of BTS) is a qualifying song if Madonna, Shakira, or the BTS member performs the song (i.e., its recognizable melody or lyrics are sung, at least reasonably begun). Merely appearing on stage—such as dancing, speaking, or being introduced during another artist's song—does not make that song a qualifying song.
The performance must be confirmed by official sources including setlist archives, official tour programs, livestream recordings, or post-event press materials issued by the artist or event organizers. Full or partial live performances count as performed if the song is at least reasonably begun. Medleys count each song as performed in the order they appear. Interludes, band instrumentals while the singer talks, rehearsals, sound checks, and unconfirmed performances do not qualify. If multiple performances occur within the time period, the ordering is determined within that specific time period. Encores continue the count from the main set unless the contract explicitly specifies otherwise (e.g., "first song of encore"). This market will close and expire early if the performance occurs and the setlist is confirmed.
