Zohran Mamdani has announced a series of five public hearings for New Yorkers to share their experiences renting in the city (see: https://www.nyc.gov/mayors-office/news/2026/02/mamdani-administration-invites-new-yorkers-to-join-first-ever-re#:~:text=I%20look%20forward%20to%20hearing,p.m.%2C%20North%20Shore%2C%20Staten%20Island). The first hearing is scheduled for February 26, 2026, 5:30PM ET. This market will resolve to "Yes" if Zohran Mamdani attends the first Rental Ripoff hearing in this series. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If the event is canceled or postponed beyond March 10, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No". Attending the event is defined as being in physical attendance during any part of the event. The resolution source will be a consensus of credible reporting.
