About This Event

This market will resolve according to the result of the season series between the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars during the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If the Houston Texans win the season series, this market will resolve to “Texans”. If the Jacksonville Jaguars win the season series, this market will resolve to “Jaguars”. If the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars tie the season series, this market will resolve to “tie”. If any scheduled game between the listed teams during the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, not completed, or otherwise does not produce an official result — including due to a shortened, truncated, or early-ended season — the season series will be determined solely using official results of completed games. If the season is cancelled, no games between the teams are completed, or the result of the season series cannot otherwise be confirmed by January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market will be information from the NFL, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.

Snapshot observed 2026-10-20T03:00:06.020Z. This analysis describes that snapshot and is not a live news update.

What the contract measures

The Polymarket event asks how the 2026-27 NFL regular-season series between the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars will be decided. According to the source, the market "will resolve to "Texans"" if the Texans win the season series, to "Jaguars" if the Jaguars win it, and to "tie" if the teams tie [1]. Cancelled or incomplete games are handled differently: the series would then be "determined solely using official results of completed games" [1].

The source also sets a fallback. If the season is cancelled, no games are completed, or the result "cannot otherwise be confirmed by January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve 50-50" [1]. The listed end time is 2027-01-27T04:59:00.000Z, which is the same instant as that January 26 deadline in Eastern Time [1]. The rules name the NFL as the primary resolution source, with "a consensus of credible reporting" as a supplement [1]. A listed end time is a contract closing time, not a record of when any game will be played.

Reading the snapshot

The saved observation was taken at 2026-10-20T03:00:06.020Z, and the source was retrieved at 2026-10-20T03:06:59.818Z [1]. These prices describe that moment only and are not current quotes.

Two contracts from the event were saved. The tie contract shows Yes at 0.505 and No at 0.495. The Texans contract shows Yes at 0.255 and No at 0.745 [1]. Each contract is a separate yes/no question, so the prices should not be added together or treated as a complete probability distribution. The saved sample does not include a separate Jaguars-win contract, so no Jaguars price can be read from this snapshot. Lower prices for an omitted outcome should not be inferred.

Prices are snapshots, not executable quotes or verified probabilities. Differences in wording or close times matter when comparing contracts across platforms. Those comparisons should be made only where the rules match.

What remains uncertain

The coverage record reports 2 total markets, 2 included markets, and no partial sample [1]. The sampling note adds that the saved markets "does not establish that the providers list every possible real-world outcome" [1]. The sample is therefore complete for the saved event, but it does not prove that no other relevant contract exists.

The evidence does not explain why either price is where it is, and it does not include trading volume or trader counts. Nothing in the supplied material establishes how the season will unfold, and the snapshot should not be read as a forecast of the result.

Overview

This PredictPedia entry covers a sports contract on the season series between the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2026-27 NFL regular season. The contract is listed on Polymarket under the event title "Pro Football: Texans vs. Jaguars Season Series Winner" [1]. Its rules state that it will resolve according to the result of the season series between the two teams during that regular season [1]. The season series is the set of regular-season games between the two teams. Under the event rules, a Texans win in the series resolves the main market to "Texans," a Jaguars win resolves it to "Jaguars," and a tied series resolves it to "tie" [1]. The saved event includes two separate yes/no markets: one asking whether the series will end in a tie, and one asking whether the Texans will win the series [1]. Each market is priced on its own, so the two prices should not be read as parts of a single complete distribution. The rules also explain what happens if games do not finish. If any scheduled game between the teams is cancelled, not completed, or otherwise produces no official result, including because of a shortened, truncated, or early-ended season, the series is decided only by official results of completed games [1]. If the season is cancelled, no games between the teams are completed, or the series result cannot be confirmed by January 26, 2027 at 11:59 PM ET, the market resolves 50-50 [1]. The primary resolution source is information from the NFL, and a consensus of credible reporting is also used [1]. The listed end time for the event is 2027-01-27T04:59:00Z [1]. That is a listed end time from the contract record, not an announced event date. The saved snapshot shows the tie market at a Yes price of 0.505 and a No price of 0.495, and the Texans-win market at a Yes price of 0.255 and a No price of 0.745 [1]. These are observed snapshot prices, not executable quotes or verified probabilities.

Historical Context

The supplied Wikipedia material describes the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans as competitors in an NFL rivalry [2], and the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans as competitors in a separate NFL rivalry [3]. The available excerpts do not provide a history of the matchups between these teams or their past season series results.

Why It Matters

The contract measures a single outcome for one pair of teams over one season: whether the Texans win the season series, the Jaguars win it, or the two teams tie [1]. It is useful for readers who want to understand how a multi-game team record is turned into a single resolution. The rules define how cancelled or incomplete games are handled and what happens if the result cannot be confirmed by the stated deadline [1]. Because the outcome depends on official results and the NFL is the primary resolution source [1], the contract's meaning rests on how those official results are recorded.

Snapshot context

The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-20 at 03:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update.
