About This Event

This market will resolve according to the result of the season series between the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts during the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If the Houston Texans win the season series, this market will resolve to “Texans”. If the Indianapolis Colts win the season series, this market will resolve to “Colts”. If the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts tie the season series, this market will resolve to “tie”. If any scheduled game between the listed teams during the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, not completed, or otherwise does not produce an official result — including due to a shortened, truncated, or early-ended season — the season series will be determined solely using official results of completed games. If the season is cancelled, no games between the teams are completed, or the result of the season series cannot otherwise be confirmed by January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market will be information from the NFL, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.

This analysis is awaiting a background update, so its prices may be older than the odds above.

What the contract measures

The supplied Polymarket event asks how the 2026-27 NFL regular-season season series between the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts will end. Under the event rules, the market resolves to "Texans" if the Texans win the series, "Colts" if the Colts win it, and "tie" if the series is tied [1]. The rules also cover cancelled or incomplete games: the series is then decided only by completed games, and if the result cannot be confirmed by January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market resolves 50-50 [1]. The primary resolution source is the NFL, with a consensus of credible reporting also used [1].

The saved sample contains two binary contracts from this event. One asks whether the series ends in a tie, and the other asks whether the Colts win it [1]. The sample does not include a separate contract for a Texans series win, so this snapshot cannot show that outcome's price.

Reading the snapshot

The observation time is 2026-10-16T03:00:06.094Z, and the retrieval time is 2026-10-16T05:45:56.096Z [1]. The provider status was active when the source was retrieved [1]. These are snapshot times, so the prices describe the market at the observed time, not a live or executable quote.

The tie contract was priced at Yes 0.63 and No 0.37 [1]. The Colts contract was priced at Yes 0.3725 and No 0.6275 [1]. Each contract's two outcomes sum to 1, but the two contracts answer different questions and should not be merged into a single ranking or an average. Their listed end times also differ. The tie contract lists 2027-01-12T23:59:00.000Z, while the Colts contract and the event list 2027-01-27T04:59:00.000Z [1]. Those are contract close times, not announced resolution dates.

The sample is complete for this event: all two saved markets are included, and the sample is not marked as partial [1]. That still does not show that the providers list every possible real-world outcome.

What remains uncertain

The evidence does not explain why either price is where it is, and it does not show how many traders hold each position. Volume and price alone do not establish liquidity or market depth. The prices are not verified probabilities of any season outcome. Because the rules depend on completed games, cancellations, and a confirmation deadline, the final result depends on events not included in this snapshot.

Overview

This PredictPedia entry covers a sports contract titled "Pro Football: Texans vs. Colts Season Series Winner." The contract concerns the season series between the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts during the 2026-27 NFL regular season [1]. Under the stated rules, the market resolves to "Texans" if the Texans win the season series, to "Colts" if the Colts win it, and to "tie" if the two teams tie [1]. The rules also cover disrupted seasons. If any scheduled game between the two teams is cancelled, not completed, or otherwise does not produce an official result, the season series is decided only by official results of completed games. This applies even when the season is shortened, truncated, or ended early [1]. If the season is cancelled, no games between the teams are completed, or the series result cannot be confirmed by January 26, 2027 at 11:59 PM ET, the market resolves 50-50 [1]. That date is a confirmation cutoff written into the rules. It is not an announced game or event date. The primary resolution source is information from the NFL, and a consensus of credible reporting is also used [1]. The provider lists the event as active and gives a listed end time of January 27, 2027 at 04:59 UTC [1]. That status describes the provider record at its observation time, not a live check of the season. The saved data for this event contains two binary markets. One asks whether the season series ends in a tie. The other asks whether the Colts win the season series [market records]. Each market has Yes and No outcomes, and the two listed end dates differ. The tie market is recorded with an end date of January 12, 2027, and the Colts market with January 27, 2027. Prices shown for these markets are snapshots taken at the provider observation time. They are not executable quotes or verified probabilities, and a difference between the two contracts' prices does not by itself indicate an opportunity. The sample includes every saved market for this provider event, so both markets are covered in full. That does not establish that the provider lists every outcome that could occur in the real world. The contract rules themselves name only the three results described above, plus the 50-50 treatment for disrupted seasons.

Why It Matters

The contract measures a single result: which team wins the regular-season series between the Texans and Colts, or whether the series is tied [1]. Because the outcome depends on completed games, the rules also specify how a cancelled or shortened season is handled, which determines how the contract settles in those cases [1]. Readers comparing market prices should note that the saved prices are snapshots at an observation time, so they reflect the record at that point and not a current or executable price.

Snapshot context

The latest published provider snapshot for this topic was observed on 2026-10-16 at 03:00 UTC. It contains listings from Polymarket. Market descriptions and listed closing times define the contracts; they do not establish that the real-world outcome has occurred. This article does not include a separately verified news update.
